Help choosing mods!
It's been a long time since I've played but I was wondering what are the best mods for RoG. It would also be appreciated if you explained why you'd recommend them. I'm playing an almost vanilla game as it is now.

OK I'll jump in here. I only use two mods.

"Where's Chester" gives me a direction to go at the beginning and extra storage for the start.

"Wormhole Marks" visually ties wormholes together with matching colors.

Really? That's all? I'm looking to add content to the game though. I have an archery mod but that's all for additional content. Other then that I have increased stack size and amulet & backpack slots.

I think you should use geometric placement, combined status, simple health bar, and insight. geometric placement allows you to place things more accurately. and combined status shows you the season your temperature and even your naughtiness points. I don't think I need to explain simple health bar. but insight shows you food values and when the next hound attack is going to happen and etc. But I think the most useful out of all of these is geometric placement

wait there is something else. Fix for too many items. I think you should just use this mod after you have experienced every thing the game has to offer. because it ruins the experience. the mod makes it so when you press T it gives you access to every item in the game including hamlet and shipwrecked.

if you are looking to add content to the game i recommend beefalo milk, dont starve steampunk, and dont starve nightmare wilton. beefalo milk adds the option to milk beefalo. steampunk dont starve adds a bunch of new things into the game steampunk style.

see here for more information

though the video above is for don't starve together there is a version for don't starve reign of giants and all of the things are the same.

I prefer to keep my game mostly modless, but I use Geometric Placement, Camera Tweaks, DS Equipment Switcher, DST Bee Range Attack, Quick Drop, Smart Crockpot and other misc stuff like the removal of insanity desat.

DST Bee Range Attack has become probably my favourite mod because the attack range of DS bees is insane.

Be aware that some mods are old and do not work properly. Make sure you check their last updated status before using. If they haven't been updated after Hamlet then you probably shouldn't touch it.

it's ok to play with zero mods.
