I wondered this myself until I used the Skyworthy to go from SW to Hamlet. I left on day 140 and it was also day 140 in Hamlet.
It has good side though, you should take missing seasons into account which is nice randomness.
Thanks for info.
Btw, what happens when you change world through things? What day will be in new map?
Wait a minute. What season it was? It wasn't Apocalypse, right?
Yep, thanks, thats what I was looking for. But it turned out to be more complex that I thought.
What happens if you change map via things in every world. Would they all have independent day-counters?
It was sadly.
Just spawn in the things, regen 3 different worlds: Done

For science!
The funny thing is I started to do it just when you started to write this message. I am not fluent with console, so it took me some effort.
And the answer is "yes", after changing world with things, all three worlds have different day-timer and they still all run together.
This is not good for me, because it is hard to figure out how long I was in one world and how long is total for them all. I have to think something different.
Though it adds enjoyment to world hopping, you never know what season it is.
