What is a good way to maintain food and sanity in hamlet?
I'm having a hard time managing these things, any suggestions would be wonderful!

Just learning the ropes too, but it seems to me that a decent approach is to check first if you have at least two "gardens" to collect clippings at a moderate rate and at least 8 bushes to steal.
With the gold, you can buy pumpkin cookies for sanity and along with some farms, the berries help a lot to manage hunger.

Crockpot is top priority make it before you even start on an alchemy bench. Also save any monster meat you get from the bat waves. You should be able to have a large chunk by the time you have the crock pot ready.
Then go to the grocer by ice or berries, and use that to make meatballs.

Crockpot recipes will help you with sanity and health respectively and are pretty easy to make.
When you get a house you can also smash the fish decoration to get an oinc and a fish.
Then buy a corn and filler and you can make fish tacos which are good for sanity and healing.

Watch out for asparagus as filler though it almost always leads to Asparagus soup which is a meh food item.

You need bush farm. But dont use berrys as a food, sell them to nerd pigs(with glasses)
1 berry = 3 oinks.
With those just buy some food in shop and do meatballs. You can buy berrys there as well(1 oink).
It all comes to stable oink income and buying supplies. Bush farm>grass farm>tree farm.
