Undo attacking town members in the Hamlet

Twice now have I accidentally attacked a town member in the Hamlet and the whole town started to attack me. Is there anything I can do to make peace again?

Pro tip: Do NOT, for god's sake, ever attack the town members.

It was an accident. The question is if there is anything I can do to rectify my misbehavior?

Ok, so I have to start a new game again then I guess.. Surely this is an issue that is bound to come up frequently enough so that they should implement a way for the player to redeem himself? I am very new on Hamlet, but I suppose the town is very important for the player right.

Side question: If I buy myself a security contract, and I choose a guard in the outskirts who is guarding some berry bushes say, can I then also steal those bushes without upsetting any town members?

yes the guards only attack if they see you commiting crimes

Well I tried. I bought the guard, then took the berry, and then he turned on me and started to attack me.

I suppose it only works if you do it when they are a bit out of range then. I have managed to steal the berries and even things out of the shops when people haven't been in range.

I have also found that the easiest way to avoid accidently attacking towns people is to unequip any items in your weapon slot. Everytime i had something in there i would accidently smack people. You can only "examine" them with nothing equipped. Unless there is a character that you can just beat them up anyway :D

your going to want to drop some oincs and let everybody grab them, 10 oincs per pig, once everybody got there 10 oincs they will leave you alone, sry you accidently performed an act of terrorism on there happy pig town, lol

if you want to steal stuff, kill the thief pig and get his hat, wait till full moon and put on the hat and go on a stealing spree

if you use a 360 controller like I do, I dont have that problem

Is attack on neutrals set to left or right mouse button? You want to make "force attack" hard to activate on accident.

You can give them oincs! 10 per pig. I too accidentally hit a guard pig and "The knight of the abyss" saved me lol!
