Tips on Floaty Boaty Knights? (SW)

Hello. I've been playing a lot of Shipwrecked recently (mostly as Walani and/or Wickerbottom) and have had a bit of trouble finding the Floaty Bloaty Knights.
Any tips or tricks?

One way to find them is to, of course my find the Wooden Platform Thing. Around it there will be three floaty boat knights, which will statist your gear need for a while. The other way is to kill a massive amount of natural mobs in one area around the same time. After a few more days 1-3 floaty boat Knights will spawn. This makes gears much easier to get in SW then they ever were in RoG.
