Is Prestihatitator necessary after making Shadow Manipulator?

As title says, do I need to keep the Prestihatitator around AFTER making Shadow Manipulator?

No you don't (unless you want a backup plan in case your shadow manipulator gets destroyed or something), same goes for the science machine and the alchemy engine.

Also bear in mind that two rabbits will spawn along with the rest of the materials that are dropped from hammering it, so you might want to consider setting traps for them (unless you're past the point where you'd need that food)

You can just whack the rabbits when they drop from it I think. I don't think they'd run right away, they'd probably be stunned first.
