Don't Starve

Don't Starve

The Bundling Wrap update for SP Don't Starve seems rushed and lazy
Barely any of the new items have examine quotes.

Killer Bees drop the Bundling Wrap... Making what is effectively one of the most important assets to long term survival in all of Don't Starve obtainable not through killing a 25,000 hp boss, but through killing... Killer bees?

As a side note, beeswax is non renewable in this version of the game, which only adds extra salt to the wound since the bundling wrap is a sink for it.

Bundling Wraps, at the cost of 3 grass, allows the player to prevent spoilage of *any* food item, in stacks of 4. And the method for obtaining it is a 4% drop chance from Killer Bees...

Look, either add in Queen Bee into SP, or at least don't let them drop from bees?? This is the most unconventional design choice I think I've seen come to the game yet. Nice examine quotes too.

The fact that they are not renewable alone probably justice the blueprint dropping so easily.

in the klei forum we have suggested a balance change to the chance to get the recipe.
we want to lower the chance from bees or leave it as Hamlet exclusive

1- All characters have examination quotes in the files, It’s just bug that happen with many items including some hamlet pig houses.

2- i agree that it should have less drop rate or make it drop from bosses only.

3-bundling wrap is already very strong item, requiring an unrenewable ingredient is enough downside.
In DST it’s renewable because you are not the only player in the game who need it.

This makes me laught. Just having 1 Bundling wrap is overpowered. There is enough bee hives in the world to make dozens of them. Killer beehive also drop materials to craft it.

If Bundle wrap had limited uses then the dowside actualy mattered.

There is no real downside or ballance was put in this item by Klei. They ussualy good at ballancing stuff, but not with this item.

Well, my point was that it should cost *more* than beehives. If you're gonna make it that easy to get, make it harder to craft. Although the fact that some resources in your entire world are non renewable has always been a bad bit of game design in my eyes. That's kinda why I like DST. So much more renewable ♥♥♥♥.

Not Renewable items makes things rare and important. You would use them wisely. And besides DST is multiplayer game, which explains why it has more renewable stuff.

Renewable resources do make the game easier, and are intended for multiple people.

... Then again, I play solo DST, so I guess it balances out? I mean, double enemy health for most enemies seems like a fair tradeoff in some regards.
