Anyways, The ruins entrance is usually surrounded by spiders.
Also, in my experience, it usually spawns behind some bunnymen. If you find a biome with barely anything except bunnymen houses and maybe the light flower here and there, you're close.
Also, I *think* the bunnymen biome has blue turf (flooring)
My advice, find some rocklobster, wait until its day so bunnyman are inside their hutch, then befriend 5-6 lobster by giving them 3-4 flint each and then go clear the spider nest around the ruins sinkhole, you can destroy them by mining their nest, as soon as you see spider, do a fake attack on them so the lobster agrow on them, be sure to wear armor before doing this , because some spider ( spitter) shoot from distance, once the spider nest are cleared, be sure you still have friendshipe with lobster, and then go into the sinkhole, because there may be some deepworm near the exit. Wait until frienshipe is over before exploring, so the lobster stay near the ruins entrence and you can find them easily when needed or when you exit. Always exit with them to handle the deep worm that will wait for you when you exit ruins.
Just a warning. Some cave map generation can be bugged or glitched, which means you will never be able to reach the ruins entrance legit.
Some caves got big gaps or broken landbridges, which can be only passed with console commands / cheating.
But good luck on finding it still. Did you explore 100% all 3 different caves?
I DID end up finding it, it was like right next to my cavebase which I had neglected to explore for some reason
Congrats, i guess you were lucky with the nearby cave base! It is a neat challenge at the start.
Did you try out adventure mode or temples too ? Ruins got huge biomes and you can waste alot of time trying to hoard or mess around with thulecite in there.
And big pro side to cave is you can make snurtle shell farms in there and don't necessarily need to find ruins entrance, unless you really really want only thulecite gear xD
Later you might realize that exploring new wonders is more fun maybe ^_^
But the thulecite armor give 90 % damage reduction and have 1800 hp as well as sanity regeneration without any duration lost. When you wear the thulecite armor you dont have to worry any more about sanity, even during winter, just eat bacon and egg or honey ham, is enough to keep your sanity toped.
I stoped reading Readhead post, because all he do is downgrade others and spread misinformation about others to make him look like he is the only one which posses the thruth.
See his first post, he said everyone before him is wrong, but let me guess, you did find the ruins behind bunnyhutch in spilagmite biome and surrounded with cave spider, its always there. There is no map glitch either, i never had a single map glitch for cave and ruins generation in 4000 hours of play, and no glitch at all if you read the wiki, so i guess he probably use some map hacking mod.
Again play however you like, but if you really claim to have played 4000 hours DS ALONE, you seriously are very slow at learning new tricks and methods. Idk if it's cute or sad at the same time.
But sure open a misinformation ignorance club together with justice, idc and idm.
I enjoy meanwhile the actual content and don't waste time on a 4000+ cave base xD
You might look back at DS in 5 years and might rewrite your opinions anyway ^^
We are only humans and can still improve no matter when.
Have a nice day and good luck regardless
TL;DR
Time will never equal skill. You are actually a very good example with the "pro skillz" 4000 hour "bad knowledge". Besides i never claim to be a pro skillz, i just know my limits and can feel very well limits of others as well. And i'm eager to learn new stuff, in difference to you :p
@Justice you are actually an edgy rick follower, cause you trash & talk the same as his people. I'm just a devils advocate and balance.
You're bias, ignorant, selfish person who thinks anyone elses opinion is trash and invalid. And then call me trash?
Lay off from steam forum and quit trolling by acting some of kind of Don't Starve Elitist.
My advice, dont feed the troll, i dont even read his post anymore, there is nothing good coming from him only bad advice, wrong reference and misinformation.
