Can I run it?
Hey I'm getting a computer for christmas (I get to choose :D) and I found one, the problem is I'm planning to buy this game and I don't know if the cpu of the pc is good enough. The cpu is an intel celeron j3060 with igpu and I know it has 1.6GHz and the minimal is 1.7GHz but is it at all possible that I will be able to play this?

You should be fine. I do not think this game has much issue running on most machines.

Just FYI, most games to run at least at minimal settings you will want at minimum a dual core 2ghz+ processor

Graphics card should have 1GB of dedicated memory and you should have at least 4 GB of system RAM.

The chip you are looking at will go up to 2.4 Ghz and is a dual core. The graphics are the weak link wil only .4 - .7 GB of ram.

If you get this computer, I would upgrade the system to 8 GB of RAM if possible. Can get RAM for laptops cheap on Amazon used. This will help offset the weak GPU. Either way dont starve will run fine.

Okay thanks, I instead chose a laptop with a AMD A6 7310 Which should run most games, what do you think?

A6 is not bad. I would upgrade the RAM though on the computer if possible, as the integrated gpu will share system RAM. So if it has 4GB, I would try and get 8GB. Each computer is different so check into yours.

I would not pay a bunch extra to get 8 GB right away though. RAM is easy to upgrade on most laptops, the CPU and GPU are not however. So it is better to focus on the CPU and GPU and grab RAM after used and cheap. HDD space is another thing that can be hard to upgrade internally, but 250GB is sufficient, but more is better. There are always external HDD drives as well.

The A6 will run pretty much most games available now at least on minimum settings except brand new AAA games. Usually you can get a good price for a computer with one, so that makes up for less performance.

The A8 is the next step up with a little more CPU Ghz and a little better GPU, and might be worth looking into grabbing one of them if possible.
I got my wife a laptop used with an A8 for under 200$ on Amazon. Still not amazing performance GPU wise, but will get the job done.

Either one will be fine for light gaming though, so if you dont expect to be playing games like GTA 5, then the A6 will get the job done fine. The A6 could probably run a game like GTA 5 though, but I would not expect top notch graphics, so like I said, it depends on what you want and can find.

Sorry for such long post, just get going sometimes. Good luck. Need more help and I will try.

Ik this thread is old, but if someone is not sure if their PC can't handle this game, I can he sure it can. my first PC that I bought by myself was Lenovo's Windows tablet. Intel's Quad 1.33ghz core, 2gb of RAM, 64mb Graphics. it run this game at 50-60fps all the time.

(mods, if this is considered as necro or bumping or anything, pls lock this or delete my comment :P sry)
