i cant find gold anywhere

Gold is sometimes found on the ground but, normally is mined from rocks with a gold streak in them.

Also if you find the pig king, he accepts various items and gives you gold for them.

They exsit for sure, you have only 0.9 hours on the game, you are new that's all, first to find those kind of rock you need to find a desert/rocky biome with a grey floor, when you find this biome you got 3 kind of rock, normal rock, rock with a way to the cavern when you mine it, rock with a gold streak. The last one give you some gold when you mine it, or you can find a cimetery, a forest biome with graves and fog on it, there will be some piece of gold on the ground in those biome

Now you have really high chance to find rocks with gold veins in that biome

You can also find few golds in a grave yard that will help out a lot and what codey said is also a hot spot where you can mostly find rocks with gold streaks on them. Those rocks guarantee one gold or maybe TWO if you're lucky enough.

Apparently the wiki on gamepedia is the updated one. I certiny like it better.

Yeah I never knew it existed until now. I always used the wikia since it was the first one to pop up on google.

But like you said the gamepedia one is the most recent and uptodate even though it looks copy and pasted for the majority of the info (literally word for word from the wikia). Either way use which ever you want for DS help.

* Find a graveyard and grab the gold on the floor if you are lucky
* Mine the rocks with gold in them (they look like stones with stripes on them, stacked onto eachother)
* Find trinkets across the map or dig them up from gravestones and send them to the Pig King

If you see lots of grass on the ground or trees around, gold likely won't abound.

You can find gold by digging up graves, or by looking for boulders with gold streaks in biomes where lots of boulders spawn.

Rockyland has gold veins and if you find a big Tall Bird area, gold nuggets lie around.
Desert has gold veins, but often guarded by hounds
In the Caves the big stalagmites also drop gold nuggets
