Where is gold in Shipwrecked?

I cannot play SW because I can never find any gold to build a science machine!
Where is any gold?

In volcanic piles of rocks (which has visible small gold nuggets) or those gold ore rocks that you used to mine in normal Don't Stave. Magma biome (100%) or lucky golden ore rock in jungles.

But is it just random? I have never seen such a biome. I keep drowning all the time trying to find new land

It's map generation, it's going to be random. Some jungle biomes will have gold boulders.

Also, how are you drowning? Right next to where you wake up there's a ship repair kit that you can get with a hammer.
Or, you can play with the Librarian and just make a row boat at the start.

You go insane on the water very quickly and can't see your boat damage. But even without that, I spent a day, night, and half the next day on the water trying to find new land one time before boat blew up and I drowned.

This occurs to me pretty quickly.

The boat health is in the bottom right(verify game files/mods if it isn't). Water doesn't have any insanity aura? Unless you are hitting the waves and getting wet, then yes, you will go insane(and get your boat destroyed quickly). Try hitting the waves from the back, you get a speed bonus. Big waves will only damage your boat, unless you are Walani(surfboard person).

For land, watch the water. The lighter the blue, the closer to land. You can also check your map, darkish blue is a ship graveyard, slightly lighter blue is deep water, lighter than that is mid-range. Again, the lightest blue is land/coral reef.

why don't you just gather more materials to make a second boat? Avoid waves that going right in you direction. And to dry yourself quicly make a fire and stand next to it

If the parrot with a hat on leaves coins, keep them. you can make gold out of three coins. Um, you might have to be Wickerbottom to do it without a science machine.

Have Gold rocks in a Island have a jungle biome ir in a rock biome but the starter Island dont have gold
