[DS: RoG] Ice not working as intended?
Just curious on how Ice work in this game. I was playing WX-78, had like 20 Ice in my inventory. As my character starts to overheat (screen turns orange to red). I pop a few Ice, works fine initially (screen turns normal) .

But subsequent Ice usage doesnt prevent overheating anymore. Eventually my character died. Is this how Ice is suppose to work or am I missing something here?

Can anyone care to explain to me what happned? Much thanks.

Ice hardly lowers your temp in game and shouldnt be used to survive summer like that. If you hadbsomething like a thermal stone that got to hot then it especially wouldn't do anything.

Oh guess i misinterpreted the following source from wiki:

"Eating one of the following food items will temporarily cool the player down by 1°/second for various amounts of time. Eating even stale or spoiled food can also cool the player down.

Ice: 7.5 seconds"

So the above means 1 Ice will lower my tempereture by 1° for 7.5s correct?

Thanks

That's how I would understand it too. However, there are many other thighs that affect your temperature, and can outweigh that cooldown. If you're in the middle of summer during day and don't wear any insulating clothes or carry a cooled thermal stone with you, it may not be sufficient to counter the heat increase. As said above, eating ice is not a good method to survive summer. Try to get a summer frest, a thermal stone and a chilled amulet for emergencies, and you're good.
