The Undying Emperor:O DLC Spoilers

Not sure how your supposed to do this fight.

It appears you cant even damage him:O

If anyone has done this fight, tips for myself and others would be appreciated

In addition to the very helpful tip marked as the answer, you cant see his health go down, so keep hitting him, he goes down eventually:)

He only eats the first attack from a source, so he is countered by the one mandatory class for the encounter: bladedancer. so your strategy should be to poke with your weakest attack first, then go nuts. also like any boss fight in the game don't clump up.

I will try this thanks!, I did have 8 turns at him, but everyone was doing 0 damage or damage that was not shifting his health bar, I found this really strange, so I assumed since it was the death cult quest, it wanted you to die by the emperor, then that would be the 'win'.

But apparently not:P

Him activating per character as well is rather crazy^^

Seems hes immune to alot of things, taunt being one:(

I've been tracking damage done to him, about 2k, but his health bar has not went down:(

Tried to burn him down but 8 ignites in row all dealt 0 dmg. Same with Cassia's Gaze attacks. Melee and ranged attacks do seem to follow the rule of "only 1st attack is 0". Will try later when get some non caster gear.

Ya, seems like building a team around the blade dancer is best. Preferably 2 swords executioner. DoTs still ♥♥♥♥ him up. Just load him up with dots and then hit him where it hurts, then watch him explode. I think I killed him on turn 2 or 3 with this method.

I just finished this fight; and it was a slog. If Abelard isn't a tank, focused on Bulwark and regenerating temp health then everyone goes down too quickly. I do recommend having every character take Flesh Wounds if possible; it restores 10% of max wounds at start of turn, which will help keep them alive longer.

I do that fight again over the greater daemon fight anyday:P

Just did the fight Idria (Built Pyro) killed him, he was focused on killing my Space Wolf, who barely got to half wounds. My Melee's died, but that was to a unlucky spray of bullets from MC Solider who decided to crit on a 30+ shot burst, soo oops.

this was a weird fight... i had Heinrix and marazhai doing like upwards of 300 damage without dot damage to him per turn... he killed kibellah right away coz i never used her and her build sucked. anyway, he killed me, i try again, same thing but kibellah survive, i hit him with her like 3 times she's doing like 20 damage XD and he dies in like 3 hits.... i don't get it, it was on daring

I just spammed attacks on him, for a while he was immune to my hits and inflicted ignite / dot but the blade dance got through eventually and he died to the very same blade dance.

He did soak quite a few instances of damage though, before he started taking it.
Maybe try a burst attack? Officers granting bonus actions to get more things on him + the combat stimulants for more ap would probably also help.

I spammed Marazhai attacks on him, as well as Ulfar's burst strikes.
He oneshot Kibellah as his first action, killed Ulfar, almost killed MC and Pasqual, took around 3-4 rounds.

He is taking damage even if the HP stay full, later on the Space Wolf will note down that's it all a vision and it's actually the Old man we are fighting.

DoT vs the Undying emperor nearly 1 shot it(stacked like 500 on all dot activated where it hurts and spin kibellah) killed it in 1 round
