John Wick was a terrible idea-Vote here

I simply cannot believe that Overkill have made Payday 2 pretty much a movie tie-in game. Putting John Wick in Payday 2 is like putting Bob the Builder in Minecraft. He just doesn't belong here. I used to absolutely love Payday 2. And I still love it. But I hate the new John Wick character.
Okay, don't get me wrong. Keanu Reeves has starred in The Matrix (AWESOME movie) and Speed. And the John Wick film looks great. But putting him in Payday 2? No, thanks.
Here are my reasons:
-Overkill made PD2 pretty much a movie tie-in game. PD2 used to be a happy place, just an awesome heist videogame. Now, they have introduced an actual film character who wasn't in Payday 2 before. It really de-rails the game and blurs the line between video game fiction and real popular film culture. Now it seems that Payday 2 is forever connected to the film, unless Overkill completely removes his character.
-It de-rails the game too much. Okay, so heists can only have 4 players in them, but now there is a fifth to play as? Also, the new Fugitive skill tree bears too many similarities to other trees, especially Ghost.
-In the movie, John Wick is a former hitman who comes back into the game to seek revenge. That has nothing to do with heists; it now seems that John Wick lives two lives; one as a heister in the game, one as a vengeful hitman in the film.
-Each heister is known by a codename instead of their real name (Wolf, Chains, Dallas, Hoxton), except for John Wick, who is known by his real name (which takes up too much of the screen).
-Can you only put sunglasses on Wick's face? If so, he is the only one without the games iconic masks.
-This was released as the final Payday 2 Community Milestone, celebrating 1,500,000 Payday 2 Community Members. What's more, they kept it secret. We were all expecting something huge. Sure, a fifth playable character WAS huge, but was it a good idea to do so? Or to use John Wick? NO!

Main thing bad about him is he only has 750 hit points compared to the rest of the crews 2500. Now this may be on purpose because he's a hitman and maybe does more damage, but that's irrelevent when he is in custody.

i think it is to reflect his armor reducing perks since i dont think the bots ingame use the armor mechanics

If overkill had budgeted more time and preparation to adding him as a character, then it wouldn't have been such a glaring oversight in breaking the willing suspension of disbelief. But they rushed it and the only way he would make sense is with some serious retconning.

Personally I think the movie tied-in with the game instead of the other way around.
Adding a character from another franchise does not suddenly ruin the game.

The problem with John Wick is a simple solution, he simply needs more audio lines. That being said, Id rather they spend more time on Old Hoxton and the Female Heister first before going back and messing with Mr. Wick

After what happens in the movie has happened, he suddenly get's an interest for heisting, or Bain notice him and tries to get him in the crew. We have yet to know what the whole story in the movie will end with.

To be honest, I see nothing wrong with adding a new playable character for free. It's free content, you decide whether you'd like to play him or not.

I can't really see the reason why anybody should complain about free stuff. They don't force you to play him.

it not that its free stuff its how he was introduced. OVK released it in the wrong order
if they had that Chains situation clip first and then wick later it wouldnt seem as much of a product placement advert.
