Best rifle in the game?

I was wondering which rifle do you'll think is the best one in the game or at least better then the "okay" ak-5 that i use

Because when you use "the best" gun for so long it just becomes boring to use.

But then you go to use other guns and realize they suck compared to the best gun.

Firstly, it's not the best gun, there is no best gun.

Secondly, All other weapon are perfectly fine since almost all of them can reach 40+ damage with decent accuracy and stability, it's all about what you preform best with.

Depends on your playstyle and your inventory, but for me a really thing folks don't talk about much is rate of fire. 40 dam is important because it lets you 2 shot lots of stuff, but how do you deliver that 40 dam? I use short bursts and am rarely ever stationary so inherent weapon sway rules out the UAR, the AK series fires too slow, the car4 slightly too slow, the m16/clarion fires too fast and you end up wasting shots or using single fire, thus defeating the purpose of an auto firing weapon. My personal favourites are the Commando and the Gecko, however they have standard 30 round mags. I suggest the car4 as a great starting point to figure out what you personally want in a rifle and then specialise.

Car-4 is too mainstream, yeah. I like, use my artisinal DMR G3 that was handcrafted by German gunsmiths and then used by the Rhodesian army back in the 70's.

Okay, the M4 Carbine isn't the best gun. It's just the most optimal assault rifle; optimal being the acchievement of excellence in all major areas of gunitudinous gunsmanship while also maintaining at least parity in all other relevant areas.

If you only want to hit the 40 breakpoint and have the Butcher AK/CAR pack then the regular AK can basically become a CAR-4 with an extra 50 RPM.

Stat-wise/on paper,yes its the fan favorite.

Quite a large amount of heisters would rather use other guns.

I've used every assault rifle in the game, and, besides the AMCAR (prior to this, I also would have said the UAR was no good, but the new butcher mod pack fixed that), every rifle can be effective, provided you have the modifications to make it so. The heavy rifles like the G3, AK.762, Eagle and Falcon did take a hit to their comparative efficiency when the 50 damage threshold for killing tans was taken out, but they're still reasonably powerful.
If we're talking about DMRs, I'd say the M308 and the G3 DMR kit is a bit overshadowed by the DMR Kits in the AK/CAR pack

What do they have in common? Fire rate.

CAR-4, UAR, and AMR-16.

These weapons are arranged in order of highest-lowest ammo capacity and in worst-best stat order, as their stats are very similar. The AMR-16 is the best ammo aside, but the UAR offers great everything at the downside of not having a mental magazine capacity.

Basic stats, the Car-4 IS the best. But its got a horrible recoil chart. Some people have no issue with it, but I certainly can't handle its recoil. I have difficulty hitting two shots in the same spot unless I am firing single shot. I much prefer the UAR, because I always ADS (so I don't have to worry about the bad hipfire accuracy), and I can put its entire magazine in the same spot if I have to, which means firing two shots in the same spot is quite easy.

See that's dumb considering they have the same spread values when ADS'd. Otherwise AUG just has worse spread than the Car-4 in every way.

AKM shreds everything on DW since 63/18/25 meta's a thing with it now.
