I'm just pointing out that the system still does not mark every cheaters, it only applies to certain know hacks/cheats whcih is the point of it, to give other legit players notification to know who is cheating likewise to shame them for cheating. However again the system it'self is far from perfect, since you can practically do nothing should you get notified that the game's host cheats other than leave the game.
Just something to take into account before everyone starts saying or is feeling confident that the devs have solved 99% of the cheating exploits out there. Though this is of course a step in the right direction for stopping people ruining other's game since tagging someone as an obvious cheater would at least deter them in most public games.
Doubtful, considering many skills are not synched and have no need for being synched. Unless they redesigned the game, which I doubt, that won't be terribly reliable to detect. Not to say it can't be done, but not everything.
I think I'll wait a patch or so before playing for Overkill to sort of the worst bugs that they've inevitably caused. Maybe I'll write a few scripts and see what flies and what doesn't. As long as they blocked spawning bags/deployables and possibly a money gained limit, that's all I really care about. Then again, I already had those, so little difference for me in the end...
It is. The current anti-cheat system right now mostly focus on irregular item/equipment spawn and such. There is no doubt still lots of other cheaters out there using other form of cheat exploits throughout the game.
Here's a pic of what you'll see when someone is trying to use certain cheats
http://imgur.com/Po3vqMR,5U5bEd1
And here's a copy of the list of cheats that doesn't work
-Infinite ammo (Tested with Locomotive 12.Hud shows full ammo though)
-Infinite med bags number (Infinite charges still working.Med bags disappear, but the green outline keeps being in place making interactions possible;game crashes if you get downed while using it)
-Infinite ammo bags number (Same as med bag,i don't know about the game crash thing
FIX:game stutters and might crash if you deploy a bag and start shooting if you have Bullet Storm skill)
-Infinite Ecm jammers (Breaks the ecm noise,it stays until you restart the game)
-Infinite C4
-Loot Bags rain
-Multiple loot bag on the character
-Infinite body bags(FIX:Only in case the cheater isn't hosting)
-5+ pager answers
-Blind guards (FIX:they suddenly see after a gunshot, even a silenced one)
-Blind civilians
-Dlc-unlocker (But as someone already stated, this happens for every update)
-In game weapon changer
-Few troll hacks (1 dozer for every killed cop,1 cloaker for every killed cop,YOU GET A FLASHBANG EVERYBODY GETS A FLASHBANG)
No dozers have been harmed during these tests
Update 09/05/2014 00:39 Italian hour
-Election Day heist day 2 multi ballot machine hack (game stutters,"*player name* is using cheats" appears in chat)
-If the cheater gets kicked after using a cheat, the script hook might not work untill the game is restarted (happened only once on two attempts though)
FIXED the list, done a couple more tests after some segnalations.
Done with testing,deleted the abomination.
Gotta do a lot of showers to clean myself XD
No Hoxtons were harmed during new tests
To mods: if i'm bannable for this, feel free to ban me :)
But still, it's a step in the right direction, even though it's a small step.
I have not posted any user-details, the profile-link was incomplete and all nicknames at the screens (except my own) were blackened. The devs could only see: how the cheat was working and where they should keep an eye on. But you forced them to delete that.
But this is the wrong thread to talk about that.. because this is against steam-forum-rules (especially you should know that). So I will stop that here!
