Game keeps minimizing to the desktop

Its not dropping or anything...... it just does it constantly.

I posted that so many times already, but here try this:

Press the Windows Key + R, a little window should open. Write %appdata% into it and then go out of the folder it heads you to, go to "Local" then search for Payday 2, go into the folder and search for "renderer_settnigs.xml" right click and open it with notepad.

Edit this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/enxz33gvzo1x543/renderer.PNG to the resolution of your desktop.

Save and try if it works.

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\PAYDAY 2 should be the folder the renderer_settings.xml of Payday 2 should be in.

Trying to find a solution for this as well. The renderer_settings.xml file was already set to my desktop resolution.

I know that Teamviewer can have a negative impact on keeping games up. Consider restarting if you ever use Teamviewer or similar applications.

I got the same problem sometimes when I press MOUSE1 (shot), at first is freezes for a second or two, and then it minimizes to desktop, really annoying though.

I was having the same problem and for me it was a keyboard/mouse sharing program called Synergy that was causing it. Once I stopped Synergy the minimizing stopped.

Not sure if your problem is solved but I'm using a TP-LINK wireless dongle and apparently the software that came with it was the issue, it used to tab me out of everything, you may have a similar issue so you might want to check it out. If you are using one you don't have to replace the hardware, just end the program.

I have TP-LINK also however I just turned off Skype and the minimizes stop, but i'll check it out as well, thanks!

Having the same problem myself. Just randomly minimizes to desktop. Not happening to ANY other games I have. So unless it's being fixed, I'm not playing the game. My fiancee is playing it just fine so I've absolutely NO idea what the heck is going on. All I know it's the game and not my system. If it was my system other games would have the same issue, just saying,

Update: Discovered the cause of the problem. Was my system after all. I'm using Synergy to control my Linux box with my Windows mouse and keyboard. Every time I move the mouse over to the other computer, the game minimizes. Now I need to figure out how I can disable that during game play. Sorry for my rant earlier =)

Even though this thing is 2014, I must add that this is not only happening in Payday 2. Even Dota 2 has this issue for some guys like myself.

Could it be an issue with our OS pushed out in one of the updates? I'm using Win7 Home Premium SP1 and I have this problem occasionally and sometimes with very bad timing.
