Fast learner perk - is it worth it?
As in topic I'm wondering if taking Fast Leaner perk is a good choice (I'm level 13 right now) or it's just waste of points

It is definitely worth it. It offers a significant xp boost.

Well, I'm pretty sure it gets you 45% more experience per mission if you ace it. Might just be 30%, however. You can always just respec when you get more skill points if you feel you need in-mission skills right now, though.

Depends how you use it, but definitely worth its investment if you do most 2-3 days heists on Overkill. The good thing about it is that it seems to be cummulative. Having a 4 men crew with Fast Learner aced by them all would boost XP income for all players by 135% (15% individual, 30% per aced skills).

Fantastic choice. Worth every point.

It's pretty much essential. Leveling up can be a slow process, and so Fast Learner makes it, well, faster.

I don't think that's true. As far as I know, all skill boosts do not stack with others from the team. Or at least, experience doesn't. Maybe it's changed. Changelogs are seldom complete.

It used to, at least... and it's been a long time since I used it myself. I guess I could test it with a few people, see if it still works. Overkill PRO on Rats/Fire Starter used to reward nearly 700k with that trick (No stealth nor long-term XP bonuses).

It's worth it. If someone else you always play with has it aced there's no reason to ace it, but the basic stacks with the ace.

Ok thank you guys, how about perk that increases you money income by 30% from looting?

Yeah, I'm fairly certain crew bonuses never stacked and still don't.

I have gotten 700k experience from those missions, but only with one person with fast learner aced. Everyone needs to take the first rank because thats personal, but the crew bonus from aced need only be taken by a single person.

I recently saw a Dev say that particular skill doesn't actually work. Like, it shows on screen as increasing the money value but at payday it doesn't give you your dues...but that could also be an old bug.

That skill is useless. At most it'll get you a few thousand extra for your payday and then that gets divided between offshore and spending cash so in the end you see little to no difference. The problem is that quick loot values don't scale with difficulty like bag loot and contract pay do. So quick loot quickly becomes worthless.

Last I checked, no, team bonuses does not stack. Having basic and anyone on the team with aced will give you +45% XP, but it's only applied to part of the XP you gain, so it's not really +45% XP compared to what you'd get otherwise.

Only 1 person in the team needs it aced, everyone else can just run with basic. If your pubbing its best to just ace it, but if your with a tight crew you can save yourself the skill points and go basic.

i would get it. it's not like you can have an optimal build before lv100 anyways. if you need to drop it to unlock one of the better skills, then pick up back up again, that's fine too.
