Reasons why anime/kawai heister is a bad idea.

Originally it was made as a joke, but seeing how much posts it has and how many anime fans are supporting this idea, it makes me wanna talk about it. This thread even has Almir's response in it so I'm a bit worried.

Reason #1

To answer questions of why there shouldn't be kawai heister we have to go back to Payday's roots. When making Payday, Overkill was inspired by many movies such as Heat or Point Break and many, many more. All these movies and Payday has one thing in common. Crime. A good old bank robberies, perfect plans, good guys vs bad guys etc.
It's not a place for kawai girl from anime.

Reason #2

It makes no sense for that character to be a part of Payday Gang. You may be wondering why Jacket or Wick is in a crew then. They were part of promotions. Not a good thing too, because it literally is not a place for Jacket or Wick.
Jacket - war veteran, mentally unstable sociopath who was operating as an assasin for organization called 50Blessings. Living in 80s . Took out Russian mafia in Miami by himself. In Hotline Miami it was never told that he has any connections with Crimenet (mostly because it didn't existed in 80s)
Wick - ex hitmen. Movie never said that he knew Chains or anyone else from Crimenet. Again no connections to Payday lore

Reason #3

Not everyone likes anime.
As much as I like Jacket I would rather want to see just masks from HM as a part of collab simply because not everyone played Hotline Miami. Probably some people don't like Jacket, because he's a walking advertisement.

If somehow anime fans will still get their heister, then I want Postal Dude heister as a part of collaboration with Running With Scissors :)

Now this is something I'm not against. Masks are masks - they are not out of place.

Heister idea might be a "little bit" overkill (no pun intended), but seeing how community split when discussing that subject (that was not my goal when I made the original post) I can only tell that every side has its own arguments for and against it. While I'm obviously for it - there are still problems you guys (the movement against it) mentioned and they are valid issues preventing from implementing it. Still, after that kind of response I got to original post and then this counter post we all might guess that Overkill might do something about it and either do it to some extent or go full force forward (again no pun intended). Still, I'm glad people on both sides can keep it civilized most of the time and not pointlessly spam.

Well, definitely not Sailor Moon stuff if that's what you're afraid of. But we could think of a few melees or maybe even firearms with references to some anime. Maybe something like progressive knife from Neon Genesis Evangelion? Or maybe even double blades like in AoT? Or scythe from RWBY.

The "technology" would not take any place. It would still work the same as a normal sword it just has a very specific look and it isn't a skin.
And Yuno? They could take any axe then and just smear some blood on it. That's not really creative or distinct to anime. It should have that distinct look that would make you say "weeb trash weapon, I must have it". You know, the exact opposite of reality. (Look wise)
Hell, add fancy kill effects to it and I'd more than gladly pay for them. Not like I wouldn't pay for them without effects but hey, the more fancy ♥♥♥♥ the easier it is to annoy people with it. : D

Like it looks ridicilously out of place EVERYWHERE but at the same time it looks awesome.

Progressive knife is acceptable, tho I disagree with blade because Chivalry "realistic" blade already got some bad review.

Excepting when you click the box once, and it doesn't have the dialogue show up yet.
Even then though, it looks nothing like the Richard Returns mask.
He doesn't think he looks like that, if you use the mask he literally does look like that.
And if you're talking about the little areas with the three masked characters, you're wrong on that as well. Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus (the characters in those nightmare areas) are all parts of his psyche basically, not how he views himself.

And before you say it, I know that sounds hypocritical.
Personally I wouldn't really like it too much but if it got added I don't really care since I already don't play with anyone outside of my friends unless I want an achievement really bad and I have bot blocker so I wouldn't even have to deal with a bot version of the character.
I just don't think we need even more toxicity than there already is in the community, since I know there are people who actually want to play this as a multiplayer game and not just with their friends. Plus, a lot of folks don't have friends that own Payday 2.
I also don't really see why you'd want a cute character if she's getting shot at and beaten to death and shocked to near death and falling from great heights causing all her bones to break, etc and besides that you're not even going to be the one seeing her unless your buddies take the character spot before you.

Why not take the generic story of being all alone, maybe even an orphan that had to rob and steal from people to survive. Breaking into houses even being forced to kill. Making her view the world in a different kind of way of robbers doing just what they have to to survive. And that is where Bain comes in. He noticed her (SENPAIIIII (Yes, that was in fact on purpose just for this bad meme forcing)) and tracked her down with the help of his contacts. Then he looked into what she was/is capable of and recruited her for the gang as her skills could definitely be used by crime.net and the payday gang. How he recruited her or how he gained her trust is not that relevant. After all she is promised to work with the best of the best (The Payday gang) and it involves her getting a lot of money.

Boom backstory, explanation and reason finished. I came up with this on the spot and I'm not a professional, so OVK would probably get a better one done.

I didn't ask why she would want to join, I asked why the gang would let her in.
If she's really young and cosplaying to the point she believes she is in fact the character she's cosplaying as then I highly doubt they would let her in.

That explanation/backstory is meh and doesn't really hold water.

Every character in the payday gang roster has combat and criminal experience. Mostly bank robbers, and the exceptions to that are highly skilled in combat to make up for that.
Some random home burglar orphan girl ain't the type that Bain would be after when it comes to the best of the best.
They're supposed to be professionals as well, and if she had to kill during a breaking and entering in order to get away with it she is not professional.
