This mod allows you to save a file each time you make a skin with the goonmod weapon customization, allowing you to share your skins and use other people's. Try it out.

Despite my best efforts not to, I installed GoonMood, ready for some customization. Added all the mods I wanted, restarted, went to customize my guns, found that when I right-clicked on them (I've read this is the new way to customize), no options appeared.

Am I doing something wrong or is it just broken?

If you're using the BLT version of Goonmod, then you can see if it's activated in the "LUA Mods" category in the pause menu or main menu. As for right clicking, make sure you're at the correct screen. You can only customize a gun after you've EQUIPPED it and are on the inventory screen that lists your currently equipped 2 guns, skills, deployable, character, etc.

Today's official statement from overkill

We have come to the conclusion the goonmod is the worst cheating engine that exists for payday 2, so we're going to do everything in our power to get its users banned and its content removed. Not cause it's a free, better competitor to our weapon skins update or anything.

So uh, having some troubles with customizing, I made an AK, CAR and M16, then went back to preview each of them, but they got all scrambled up, no idea why, any ideas?

If you select a pattern for any part of a weapon and then start changing another part of the weapon, the pattern will carry over to all those parts without you telling the game to, unless you click on no pattern. For example, I start to customize the dustcover on my AK. I add chrome black, the swirls, and a random color. I finish the dustcover, and immediately get started on the lower reciever. I only put chrome black on the reciever, no pattern or color. If I exit now, the lower reciever WILL have the color and pattern, unless I specifically click on the no pattern thing.

It's just a glitch where patterns carry over unless you specify otherwise when creatiing guns. Don't know why, but it's annoying. You'll get used to it.

Simple, and still looks better than most of the skins that overkill made.

Pearl material from the Armored Transport pack and Golden infamous material if you wish to get a similar look on whatever gun.
