PD3 P2P or dedicated servers?

People are talking about dedicated servers. What happened to hosting a game locally? No more modding support?

Seems so.If they don't want this game to crash and burn they better reconsider always online/no peer to peer and forcing us to use epic servers instead of steam.Also seems like mod support is out the window.Cannot have mtx and mods the same time,lol.

PD3 will have cross-play mandatory Epic Store EOS and very doubtful that mods will ever be possible or to be allowed in a game that is going to be full packed with season passes and micro transactions, selling cosmetics, boosters and only god knows what more these greedy liars will put into the game to milkcow braindead consoomers.

Worst thing is the realization of mods probably not being allowed because it's a clear menace to their greedy model put in place into the game.

Almir Listo talked about mods on Red Archer's interview. Citing that making mod support with UE4 is tricky for the team that has no real experience in doing that, and that crossplay introduces some problems. But that it is something that the team wants to implement, but if tools are introduced it won't be at launch and they don't have it planned out how they'd do it.

So basically no mod support ever coming to pd3. Oh that's nice, as if the game wasn't already in danger of succeeding due to a rightfully angry community because of update 237 now they've all but ensured the game will have ZERO longevity without mod support. Lets be real, you can thank the high player count pd2 gets thanks to mods despite being a decade old. Ovk is so painfully out of touch i cant believe they don't realize this despite how insanely obvious it is. This is one of many reasons why i cannot fathom having pd3 having a bright future, or a future at all for that matter.

Does any of this imply no more crimenet offline or whatever offline solo play will be called? I'm not going to pay for a payday game that doesn't have solo play whatsoever. Being able to pause the game and play by myself is how I've spent the majority of my time in the two games.

Does any of this imply no more crimenet offline or whatever offline solo play will be called? I'm not going to pay for a payday game that doesn't have solo play whatsoever. Being able to pause the game and play by myself is how I've spent the majority of my time in the two games.

I'm not sure if Payday3 will ever have Solo-Single player mode or not (I haven't been following the latest videos about the game, mostly because I ain't gonna buy the game, I lost total interest and in fact I'm into the boycot train till they fix Payday 2, even tho I'm not gonna buy a game full loaded with season passes, micro transactions and an endless train of 100 DLCs coming shortly). But as comparison, The latest Payday2 237 update that forced mandatory Epic Store EOS on us have no impact on single-solo mode, as you can see Payday2 still have solo-single mode working and can be played.

Obligatory clarification:
The season pass is just you pre-ordering DLCs, there are no battle passes, microtransactions are cosmetic only (something PD2 does), and DLCs...well idk there will be DLCs but idk how much.
