Detection risk
Sorry for the stupid question, but what does detection risk do exactly? If you have lower detection risk are you less likely to be targeted by enemies or does it only help you staying hidden when doing stealth?

the latter. lower detection means it takes longer for you to be spotted. 3 detection is the absolute minimum you can reach.

detection is also needed for builds using low blow and sneaky bastard. Lower the detection = more dodge/Higher crit chance. (up to 30% i think)

It says i have the same amount of dodge even with max detection risk, and im not using crits, so does my detection risk matter?

detection only matters IF your using the skill:Sneaky bastard. Other then that detection really doesnt matter if your not using those skills

Just have two different go to classes like I do. I have the class that I'm best with for loud missions because you are gonna have to be at your best to beat armies of people. On loud missions detection risk doesn't matter. Then for stealth missions I use a gun with low detection but I'm not as good with this gun. The logic behind low detection risk weapons is this: If you do the stealth right, you won't even have to fire a bullet. But if you do mess up and it goes into loud, make sure your atleast somewhat familar with that gun your not as used to.

In loud, detection only matters for the Rogue tree skills that specifically state they are affected by dodge. Sneaky Bastard and Low Blow, I think they are called. Unless you are utilising them, you can forget about detection risk in loud entirely.

In stealth, detection risk controls how fast the guards spot you and the distance from which you can be spotted by guards. If you are doing stealth with more than 3 detection risk, you are not doing it right.

Ghost, but yes. SB gives up to +10% dodge (so Rogue/Suit can hit 55%, Crook/LWBV can hit 40% IIRC, either can get +10% while sprinting/+15% while ziplining), Low Blow gives up to +30% critical-hit chance (i.e. chance of getting headshot multiplier on even a torso hit, or stacking headshot multipliers if it was already a headshot).

Low DR can be useful during the stealth portion of loud if you want to get something done in peace before the alarms go wild and you don't trust your crowd-control to work fast enough (maybe you want to find the bank manager in FWB and get his keycard before everybody panics, maybe you want to walk past the guards in Mallcrashers to reach the first ATMs and the gasoline before a firefight begins, etc). If your plan is just to waltz in, shoot the guards, and start tying people down, only dodge/crit builds will care.
