Why do people not like Joy?

I've noticed that a lot of people don't like Joy, even more than Sydney. The only reason I can find is her voice, but everyone said that about Sydneys voice, and everyone likes sydney these days.

Sometimes I don't unserstand people. They wanted her to be in PC when she was introduced in Switch, and they did in Icebreaker. Now she's here and they start to hate?

I don't mind Joy, I just feel like they should've made her dialogue less generic... Rust's another one that missed the mark... They either just let Ron Perlman say whatever he wanted, which hey cool it's still Ron ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Perlman let him talk about his fat ♥♥♥♥, or they just wrote the most generic biker dialogue they could...

Bodhi's got some great one liners when it comes to special kills and pagers.
Jiro's constant Japanese can be funny even if you don't know what he's saying. Especially when you hear the pager operater just accept there's suddenly a Japanese guy on his radio.
Dragan's pager lines all have a creeper vibe, but in a funny way.
I actually like Sydney's voice, plus she makes me chuckle occasionally.
Bonnie's obnoxious, but become a meme with me and my friends.
Jacket's always funny when he's using a pager.
Even Houston's got some good one liners.

Joy is by the numbers gamer geek. "Killed a tasser, x points." it's not funny.

didnt piss used to be censored/changed to "jarate" in valve forums? XD or was that just in team fortress 2

That was because people thought of her as this cool, exclusive character that was supposed to be a gamers wet dream. Of course, they didnt know what she actually was like since you have no reason to buy Payday for the switch, due to them usually already owning the PC copy and we all know what happens to console playerbases after a while unless they were made by Bungie or some handy app developers.

When they did add her people realised that overkill fooled them.
