How to deal with Dozers on DSOD?
With a standard Stoic LMG build (Except I use CTV instead of ICTV that is the only major change I think), I can deal with most of the other enemies Somewhat decently (Still not very well though) but Dozers are extremely tanky and I don’t think there is a way to change that??
If it is 1 vs 1 I can kill it fairly reliably, but if there are 2 or more in the same place lol no.

Well, it's a team game. When there are more than one, then you too should go against them more than one of you.
Otherwise cover, shoot their head, cover, shoot their head. Starting with the Medic Dozer.

if dozers are giving you trouble, try a high rof crit build, there isnt really a special tactic to kill them, break their face armour and shoot

Crits are completely overpowered on dozers since they have a static crit multiplier unlike other units in the game. Just run unseen strike on your lmg and the dozers will die in like -2 seconds.

... Bulldozers do have a separate critical hit modifier other than the headshot multiplier, but it's actually less than the headshot multi. The headshot multiplier is 7.5 opposed to the critical hit of 5. I mean critical hits are still the way to go, since they stack on top of headshots.

As for the OP since you're looking for damage on DS Bulldozer, what you are looking for is any weapon that does 1485 damage (after headshots, HVT Aced, and Helmet Popping) or the factors there of. Granted that assumes you are going to headshot them consistently. Which may be difficult under fire or at range. Akimbo Castigos have a really high per shot damage when skill appropriately, maybe try those as dedicated Dozer killers and another gun for the common enemies.

What I meant is that on a crit for dozers, you do the 5x rather than the 2x of all other units. I'm very well aware it stacks onto the headshot multiplier.

The headshot multiplier for Death Sentence commons is 3, and not 2. Outside of the Cloaker (9x) the only time you would see 2x is if it's a scripted unit like a Boss or enemies placed at map load in. All the assault groups only use 3x units (and 9x Cloakers / 7.5 Dozers).

Besides simply mag dumping on their faces you could always get bloodthirst and max stack it saving it for dozers, a much less popular choice would be to use counterstrike since is the only skill asides from ECM feedback capable of stunning a dozer, if you go near them with your melee out they will always stop shooting and resort to melee when a heister is close and if they hit you they'll get stunned for a long time, you can also abuse this mechanic by circling around them without using counter strike and just focusing on shooting.

Completely correct and to add to this, phalanx units also share the 7.5x HM and the yet to be found zeal sniper have 2x as well.

Correct, I meant the crit stack onto headshots. The multiplier from DS alone is 3x, but a crit on headshot does 2x damage stacked as opposed to a crit on body just doing headshot damage.

Clearly my explanations are lacking here

Whut... The critical values are always the head shot critical values with the exception of Bulldozers who have a separate critical hit multiplier. So a stacked critical head shot on a DS common is a 9x (3x3), and stack critical head shot on a Bulldozer is 37.5 (7.5x5). I don't know what sort of mod you might be running but those are the vanilla values.

Like I said, I'm clearly not explaining anything well here. As opposed to just 2x damage, by 2x damage stacked I mean the crit damage is stacked twice, on ds being 3x3. The whole point was that crits are good on dozers since their crits are more powerful than crits on normal units.

Well unfortunately using Crits with Stoic is pretty difficult because there is hardly any points to get Inspire Hostage Taker Body Expertise AND Unseen Strike all aced (Ok US not aced it’s just basic but you get the point)

I tried ditching Body Expertise for Unseen Strike and yeah I think Dozers probably died a bit faster but then every other cop was harder to kill without BE this is pretty painful lol

Are doing ICTV-Stoic? Because you should more than enough skill points for Aced Inspire, Hostage Taker, Body Expertise, and Basic Unseen Strike along with quality life skills like 9 Lives, Parkour, and Transporter.

Nope, I can’t do it...

This is my build (DSOD) Build, it has a few left-over points that are still not enough to get Unseen Strike. However I consider everything here essential and more or less non-negotiable:

https://pd2builder.netlify.app/?s=1Q3I000150-5100V005012000100&p=i&a=5&t=c&d=5

I spent a lot of minutes thinking about how to get to it without sacrificing too many skills I want... but it just can’t be done lol.

If I got rid of everything in the Enforcer trees then it just happens to be enough for Unseen Strike, but I would also be a a lot less tanky...I think my tank level is just about right as it is, any less and I wouldn’t even be able to peek to shot without having my HP shred to bits lol.+

The other option is to not ace Surefire and just accep that I can’t just spray at armored enemies, which is quite painful considering it seems like a waste of Body Expertise’s potential.
