You would probably want Surefire basic as well, +15 magazine size.
The problem with DMR kits is abysmal ammo pickup. No matter what anyone says, if you have 100% accuracy (no bullet punch through) and enemy ammo boxes teleport to you instantly, you will start running out of ammo as soon as a special unit that takes more than 1 or 2 bullets to kill shows up. You NEED a good secondary or you will be sucking up more ammo than you are making.
If you want to use precision weapons, use sniper rifles because of penetration and punch through. If you are putting points into the Mastermind subtree that focuses on precision weapons (Ammo Efficiency/Graze/Aggressive Reload), it is completely pointless and stupid to be using anything but high damage sniper rifles that one shot most enemies.
ONLY use the 480+ damage Snipers or stronger (R93/Nagant/Platypus) because they one shot headshot specials. I prefer the Thanatos myself because I think it's funny that with Ammo Efficiency Aced, I'm able to actually use it like a normal weapon.
DO NOT ever use stuff like the Lebensauger because it two shots Tans on DeathWish and the RoF is pitiful so you can't kill much. It has good ammo efficiency I guess.
Special mention goes to the Repeater 1874 'sniper rifle': 240+ damage so it one shots tans, it picks up an ungodly THREE ammo minimum per ammo box. Why the hell does it do this? No one knows. The biggest downside is the fact that you don't get to use a laser gadget to help with aiming and the lever-action animation takes up a ton of your HUD.
The Repeater 1874 is the closest and best thing you will get if you are looking for a good, DMR style weapon.
Why Lock the FAL into semi auto. It's perfectly usable without any of that.
Unbearable my arse. The FAL is a joy to shoot on full auto even in real life. Especially the South African pattern R1's. Also you wanna talk about roleplaying a real life soldier. I have thrree builds theme around the Rhodesian Defense forces and 2 themed around Vietnam era Aussies. Both of which made extensive use of FAL rifles, in full auto, in real life. And did so to great effect.
