opinions on stoic?
I see some people say its overpowered, some say they can't use it without dying. Im curious to hear others opinions on the perk deck or other perk decks.

Let's see...

Extremely easy to use
Non-dlc
Versatile in armor choice so can be made to work with low blow
The tankiest deck in the game
Only countered by cloakers

There is a good reason that stoic is notorious for being stupid op

The people who don’t know how to use it without dying just simply aren’t used to it. The key is knowing when to use cover to eliminate damage taken and when to use the flask to undo the damage and heal yourself.

Stoic also breaks even harder when synergized with Hostage Taker and Jokers. With the right skills you have 30% more health and 4.5% of your health coming back every 5 seconds. An investment in a few Tank tree perks can make even the LBV give you an additional 90 health. In the hands of even a slightly skilled player it becomes really hard to take a stoic build down

I like it and feel like its the only viable DSOD deck for me solo. Other decks always end up failing due to inconsistencies with the game (non-mod user).
I disliked it at first and felt it was annoying to use. While very strong it just feels more effortless to go with other decks on lower difficulties.
I also feel that it limits me to using medkits and hostage taker to remain consistent.
Going without always ends up chipping away more and more health over time.

I would conclude it to the strongest perk deck, but that it changes how you play and that you start missing armour and throwables. OP like some other decks on lower diff. but on DSOD no, just stronger than the alternatives.

Stoic is objectively the strongest perk deck for DSOD Loud. Anyone who says so differently has some weird criteria that they put together solely to denigrate Stoic's dominance.

Kingpin? I believe people when they say it is extremely strong, but you rely completely on the 6 seconds of the Injector that also has a rather lengthy cooldown, not to mention Greendozers taking you right out of your fantasy. Stoic is basically Kingpin but permanent.

On lower difficulties, Stoic isn't as good because everything does chip damage that doesn't effectively stack up DoT to Flask away. So DW and below, Anarchist/Armorer/Dodge/etc. probably works as well if not better than Stoic.
The people who think Stoic is OP are stupid. It's a deck that makes the game playable and enjoyable. Rather than Stoic being OP. other decks are unbalanced and weak. When you go to DSOD all you tend to see is Stoic, for a reason. But that reason isn't that Stoic is OP as most infer, it's because the other decks are barely viable. beyond Stoic, Muscle, Armourer and Anarchist, pretty much every other deck ISN'T truly viable for DSOD or is at best situational.

Stoic, regen with one hostage, a bit of armor (more HP), basic sniper/saw build, deathwish only, the right spot for fun with a bit of challenge for me :lunar2019piginablanket:

Stoic is a very strong deck but i don't like to use it for death sentence. idk it's probably just me but i feel it's too risky to use on that difficulty.

I think it's very good.

Normally I run sociopath. However DSOD is hard so I run a very specific set up, Stoic is part of that. With a joker and 14 First Aid Kits you should be able to avoid going down even if you have to use some for Uppers.

I only ever used it for DSOD or Holdout because of how high its survivability is, otherwise on lower difficulties I find it really boring due to how little thrill there is compared to, say, using Grinder or Maniac and basing your survival on how quick you can clear out an area.
