The XL is a joke in every respect, and I'll even say it's a candidate for one of the worst weapons I've ever used. At least I had a bit of fun running a crit Vulcan build on Panic Room once.
When the XL is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to even the Vulcan, that speaks volumes about just how useless it is.
That's just my two cents.
I haven't used Rogue in a long time, but isn't it kinda ♥♥♥♥ when not playing on DS? Every other light armor perk deck will allow you to take at least two hits from most sources of damage before your armor goes down whereas with Rogue, you can't rely on your dodge rate to protect you from anything. At least one guide has stated that Rogue on DW or below is just a worse version of Crook, and I'm inclined to believe that. I don't like the idea of Rogue as a way to empower a bad weapon to workable levels.
Without any way to correct the switch speed, you're extremely vulnerable to shields (unless you're willing to spend even more points to ace Shock and Awe, and even then I'd argue that's a far worse anti-shield tool than any weapon you could otherwise have switched to) and, once you're getting low on ammo, becoming a sitting duck with that monstrous reload time.
