Understanding the PAYDAY 2 Secret

This thread was created because the original thread is now very long and cluttered and its author does not seem to be involved anymore.

The PAYDAY 2 Secret ARG is a long ongoing element of the game, the first hints at a secret originating in the pre-release Guide of Bain, and has become a more major element in recent times with the FBI Files and recent community events. All that is concrete about the secret is that there will be a large reward for solving it.

If you are new to the secret ARG and would like to get involved, a first step would be to know what is related to the secret and what is not. As it is said, it's objective it's to allow people new to The Secret to understand what's going on.

Should I give some of my thoughts about the images included in The Guide of Bain here? It should be a good way to start. Also, if needed, i have the Guide of Bain, so i can give you guys the images

There was once a secret in the last Payday that was ludicrous and was a pain in the ass but you pretty much were the best for doing it. This is another one of those. Heard of the FWB secret vault? That's where it came from. Now it's time to find what they have been hiding for years in THIS Payday..

edit: as the guy states below me, quite on point, the original secret was the "Overdrill."

Just as a side comment. That secret vault was the secret from Payday: The Heist. It's what we know today as overdrill

So we aren't any closer than when we started? Cause I went to the Wiki and it doesn't say ♥♥♥♥. It has expand options but they made me laugh out loud.

The original thread has +18k comments. It's take a while to get all the info from there. Even worse, not all those comments are serious about the secret, but instead jokes, and questions about the new heists. I doubt that there are many people who have been playing since the release of Payday 2 and could actually keep track of all the info posted there.
