DMR stands for "Demilitarised rifle", I believe (don't quote me on that, I am no gun expert) Okay, designated marksman rifle. See, told you I wasn't an expert. It's an umbrella term in Payday 2 for any Assault Rifle that deals around 160 base damage.
Basically a very accurate and powerful rifle that is not a Sniper.
The M308, The Little Friend and the M1 Galand are considered as DMRs, as an example, despite being in the "Assault Rifle" Category : They have High Damage, Limited Ammo, Excellent Accuracy.
Some weapons are simple rifles, by default, but can be modified into DMRs via exclusive weapon modifications. The AK, the AK.762 (& Golden AK), the CAR-4 and the AMR-16 can be turned into DMRs thanks to a "DMR kit", unlocked by the Butcher's AK/CAR Weapon Mod Pack (DLC)
Any questions?
They do, but generally I prefer to detach "DMR" as it exists IRL and "DMR" as it exists in Payday 2 discussions as the two are very different. Hell, the Cavity's technically a pistol by real life standards, from what I've heard others saying, despite the Cavity being classified by terms of Payday weapons as a DMR.
