Dragon's Breath Rounds
Is it just me, or are they terrible? Everytime I shoot a cop with a DB GSPS, they take so many shots to go down. My Raven with a suppressor that does 150 damage, ends up killing in 1 or 2 shots on DW. Perhaps the suppresor/crit meta finally ♥♥♥♥ed me up, but I don't know. I can't bring myself to use DB rounds, they just don't work for me.

EDIT: I know how to use DB rounds now, and they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.

DB will always make the person catches fire now, and the fire dot will do a total of 500 damage, using it in a hard hitting shotgun is not a great idea since it can't headshot, so a singe DB shot will do 500 damage and stun the target, that's actualy very strong and can probably one shot or two shot regular units no problem

basically, when using other rounds it's "shoot to kill, next target", but when using the dragon's breath it's "shoot, next target"

and well since it has the same effective range as flechette it can also be used to kill units in long range, so a low damage shotgun like the street sweeper will certainly clean a entire street full of cops

They're quite ♥♥♥♥♥ rounds tbh. They're only good for stuff like grinder/anarchist imo.

Dragon's breath rounds always do the same damage for the DoT instead of being based off the Shotgun damage itself but removes the ability to headshot. You can also increase the damage of the DoT if you have crits since the DoT ticks can actually crit and if you get lucky you can kill an OD Heavy unit with one shot that way.

So basically you want to have high capacity fast firing weapons instead of heavy damage weapons to spread the DoTs as fast as possible. They're probably one of the best Shotgun shells if you just build it accordingly.

The lower your shotgun's damage, the more you'll benefit from DB. What you're looking for is not the shot's damage, but the fire damage that comes after you shoot.

They work best with lower damage high ammo shotties

Yeah, don't use it with the GSPS, take the Sweeper/Goliath. And don't use multiple shots unless they don't catch fire on the first one, shoot them, and if they're on fire, move on to the next target and let the DoT kill them.

Well, Dragon's Breath rounds still do bodyshot damage, they just can't score headshots. Considering they have some of the most lenient dropoff, you can sometimes counter-snipe snipers with them. But yes, they're best used with low-damage shotguns solely to catch people on fire.

Alright, so basically, you use low damage high pickup shotguns. Since DB rounds do 500 DoT, does that make damage increasing skills and mods obsolete? Because Amber said you should just focus on the fire damage.

Also, besides the Street Sweeper and Goliath, what other shotty is good for DB rnds?

As of right now there's no way to increase DoT damage (Unless crits still count), but I'd recommend grabbing a backup 000 for Dozers. Just run the regular shotgun skills

IZHMA and Steakout are also great for DB

pretty sure that if they get any boost from skills is pretty minor since it won't affect the fire dot, it let's you bring a shotgun outside of a shtogun build is the advantage

Steakout, Izhma, possibly Predator and M458335678195 (even though that one is trash), Street Sweeper and Goliath are the ones you're looking for to make people catch fire with minimal effort while someone wastes half a flame tank to make one guy catch fire.

Oi, don't diss the M1017, its a great concealment shotgun to use for Silenced Crit Dodge builds without DLC.

I just tried out the Street Sweeper with DB rounds in a DW Cook Off game. It got to the point where I was spawnkilling cops. I more than likely got 400+ kills, but I guess DoT doesn't count as a kill.
