Didn't expect a response which explains facts almost every player knows and accepts. Nothing new. Also, why is it not wise to say you can blantly cheat/hack? Overkill clearly doesn't care if they have yet to incorporate an actual anti-cheater system. With that said, I know they're busy with other things, but their number one cash cow shouldn't be so vulnerable to cheats and DLC unlockers.
Unless Console PAYDAY 2 accepts a mouse and keyboard for input, I've seen other people "execute" some of this guy's discovered "glitches."
They both break the game no matter what, albeit in a major or small way. They're both equally bad and pointless to an extent. So why is hacking "no bueno?" Not trying to argue with you (OP) or anyone else here, I just honestly see no point to glitch/cheat/hack (replicate or find) in this game.
Pretty common at Safe House Raid, happen many times with most of the cops stuck at rooftop if you place your sentry inside the house.
Nobody would care if you're running around with infinite ammo, it doesn't really effect the other players, but stuff like bag spawning and blatantly killing all of the swat units with an insta-kill command in order to make the heist as easy as can be is an actual problem. Though you could probably find having infinite ammo and using an insta-kill all command similar (which you shouldn't). That aside, of course the anti-cheat wouldn't detect infinite ammo cause it doesn't need to. Infinite ammo is essentially a benefit only to the client with cheats. It detects more game breaking cheats like too many equipment spawns, someone equiping a weapon or character they don't own, or starting a contract they don't own.
You stick a sentry in an unpathable spot. The cop AI will attempt to path to the spot and stop a couple meters away from the sentries unpathable position. The AI will then get confused and cause the cop to stand or crouch in place as they cannot reach the location. If you find a unpathable spot that allows for for sentry deployment just outside a major spawning point then you essentially freeze cops in place making then take up space on the map. The total npc slots in a 4 players room ranges from 80 - 90 spawns approximately.
It is not that cops just stop spawning. Cops will keep spawning until the cap and then freeze in front of the sentries thus not allowing any more spawns. They will stand in place until the maximum allocated assault time and then the assault phase will change to 'fade/retreat'. Cop aggro will be reset and the process will repeat ifself once again. This gives players free reign on the map if you use a location that is a good distance from objectives and escape points.
BTW this guide already notes alot of the locations up to scarface heist update:
