4 years and moving bookcases still alerts guards.
I was just doing some Framing Frame stealth solo, wanting to refresh some things after a long hiatus. When I got to day 3 I started moving bookcases around to find the vault with the gold, the usual for this heist.
Even though there's no vault behind one, moving one of the bookcases... Well, you read the title. What kind of secruity guard looks at a piece of furninture and says "Hm, it's a whole meter away from where I saw it last. BETTER CALL THE FBI!"

Have you tried moving them back?

Intended behavior. They can be moved back by interacting with the same spot again.

I'm sure the security knows about the moving bookcases and they aren't allowed to move them without telling each other, so having one moved is probably suspicious and warrants police investigation to a possible break-in.

Move them back restart 3 Day if Vault not in room with the bed beacause it's best place for gold to hide

Well a bookshelf suddenly moving would make you kinda suspicious wouldn't it?
Per the Long Guide:
Uncool triggers: Moved bookshelves. The moved bookshelves that are not at the pre-vault room may be detected in certain cases; their detection point is located slightly inside the wall, where the pre-vault entrance would be. They are not detected most of the time as the wall blocks line of sight. However, if not the wall but the moved shelf itself blocks line of sight, guards will spot it (so they spot it only from certain angles).

Just move the bookcases back every time, and you'll be fine.

True, but calling in a large platoon of swats on normal difficulty, and more on higher ones. No hostages to speak of either, no information about the intruder(s) weaponry (they could just be some punk teens that snuck in for all they know). Don't you think that's at least a little exessive?

As always, gameplay > realism

tbh, when a group of currently 18 members slaughter thousands upon thousands of cops for money, intel, all around many locations and even countries, and even breaching fbi related and much, id be surprised if no one knew who the payday gang is.

Right, but if all the guards have to go off of is a bookcase, they don't know WHO is behind it. It might not be the Payday gang, it might be Charlie, the bum who lives in the alley a few blocks away, looking for some hidden cash or jewelry to hawk.

Of course, this isn`t exclusive to Framing Frame. A camera breaks in a biker hideout or a remote villa, or someone finds a body in a bad part of town, and the cops send enough SWATs to fight four superhuman badasses. It`s one of those "necessary weasels" in the name of gameplay.

A senator's personal guard are unable to verify the safety of the household would definitely call the police.

Edit: Especially with the Payday Gang running around.

The guards know there's a vault behind a bookcase. Someone in the house has been moving bookcases. That's alert-worthy. Or, more probably, it's gameplay over realism. It's the same reason we can only carry a single keycard, go to jail when falling from great heits and are able to teleport ammo in our magazines from an monolithic pool.
