It (like Big Bank) can take a few tries.
This is because keychain, and you have to find the right key.
Replace key with saw.
This works more effectively
Even if your luck is null and you just can't get it after 40 tries, the drill will do it
My record was 68 tries for one door...
Then RNGesus took pity on me and opened everything else on the first try.
Even when stealthing, I generally bring trip mines and a saw to Bank Heists.
Both get you through quicker than trying the keychain over and over
I do often wonder why we have a keychain, what else can we open up?
But it isn't our keychain, it's the bank's keychain !
(normally the deposit box keys and the keys to the small safes would be on it as well, but this is payday 2, so...)
Because it's calling on the key chain/key ring function in the sourcode
