Move slowly and you can use the Sixth Sense skill to spot nearby enemies
Avoid killing more than 3 guards because some heists will call more guards in to replace them later on
B. Play a lot till your subconscious tells you what route that guard might take
In regards to cameras, rarely do you ~want~ to shoot them. shooting a camera will attract the attention of a guard on the map, who will break patrol to come inspect. when guards see damaged cameras, they will trigger alarm.
In regards to the guard manning the camera station (if present, some heists dont have a "camera guard"), they will always be a priority target.
Puff them quietly, answer their pager, and bodybag them if necessary if they're laying within visible lines to the door.
Beyond that it's just practice I'm afraid. Shadow Raid is a good heist to practice on, as it is enforced stealth. (yes you can ECM rush it but that doesn't train you)
Trigger in 3....2.....1......
don't go up/down stairs unless you're sure there isn't anyone on the other since you can get instaspotted and you can't really hide then
scan with sixth sense to make sure its safe to continue
if you're doing bank heist/jewelry store you should kill every guard but make sure they're in foilage/out of sight
have a plan to move your loot, guards will be alerted to loot bags but civilians won't
on some maps guards will be alerted of vaults and doors opening
if you're quick enough you can beat most heists really easily if you ecm rush with 4 players, however be aware that the ecm blocks some objectives, like hacking in murky station and opening the vault in hoxton's revenge
know the map, objectives, safe spots to hide and safe routes
know when to kill guards and why
shooting at wooden doors will cause them to open, however metal doors will need to be picklocked/drilled/blown up
I'll also recommend watching NanookMetal's videos on YT before diving into a stealth map, he goes into great details about ways to complete the objectives and gives great stealth tips along the way.
If you bring the mines with you, just make sure you don't use a shaped charge on a door when you try to lockpick it.
Dont kill guards unless you have to, try to make way around them if they are blocking your way.
Dont shoot cams (there is exception: If you are doing Bank heists or Diamond store guard will come to check broken camera and you can kill them silently away from others) as guards will come to check it which will automatically lead to at least -1 pager.
Always know how many pagers you have left, good thing is to write it into chat as : 3 pagers left
Always clean after yourself : If you shot guard, tie/kill civilian, throw bag somewhere always bag guards or other stuff and take bag to place where you are sure guards dont come
Play one map again and again if you want to master it.
My most favorite stealth map is Shadow Raid, i have played it around 250 times, i know all guard routes inside and most outside of warehouse, there are doors that change guard routes and you should not open them. I know where loot is always and where loot can be, how to jump from balcony on seaside to ground without killing myself and all/most other useful stuff
That's not always true.
You only have 4 pagers, sometimes it's best just to leave the cam guy(s) alone. Some levels have 2.
