I've played it long enough.
I like it, it fits my playstyle
It takes some practice to use well. But can be used in many ways.
Some people can do much better with other decks depending on how they play and their skill level. People I play with use Armorer with a Frenzy build and another likes Anarchist.. I just can't seem to get those to work for me the way they can work them with their builds and player skills.
I find it a balanced perk deck, if it was over powered everyone would use it.
I play mostly DW.. but most of my OD achieves I got before Kingpin came out, but I have used it on OD. Kind of a toss up for me if I prefer Armorer over Kingpin on OD or not.
It´s weakpoints are extended periods of pressure and the reaction time of the user.
If you use it too early you might have wasted it, if you use it too late you are already down.
It is exellent for doing objectives or passing dead zones or just taking aggro from your teammates.
I only play loud OD
Kingpin is the only deck I use
There's a learning curve to it for sure. I'd definitely consider it the deck with the highest difficulty of use but also has the highest reward if you discount good luck from dodge decks. I use adrenaline offensively for the most part, but it's perfect for moving between objectives on OD as well. Gotta make sure to clear takers and dozers first though if you're going to use it to move through mobs. It takes a lot of getting used to, and I think most players aren't patient enough to learn how to use it properly, hence why it's as underrated as it is.
A good kingpin will use it to support his team. If someone is carrying a bag or fixing a drill, a good kingpin will pop dat dren and take fire for his homeboys. A good kingpin will carry the headgear across the train on biker d2. There are limitless scenarios here.
Basically in order to be a good kingpin you have to really know the game.
I'm bad with Kingpin. It's not as easy to use as something like Armorer/Anarchist/Rogue, but it has higher potential for doing a lot of insane things that any other perk deck would die trying (with the exception of getting lucky as hell with dodge).
Edit: 2000ish hours. My opinion should count for a little now
It is finally a Perk Deck I enjoy. Before that I used Sociopath and sometimes Biker when it first came out. I also used Anarchist, but I am ashamed of using it.
I'll get this character pack.
It can work really well in DW but It fked up easily in OD.
God-tier when running across the open and escorting your team, as well as drawing sniper fire off the dodgers. Okay when popping out of cover to deal with objectives, pushing back the cop waves and confusing dozers on who to shoot when we're all bunched up. Now if only I can master popping it before taking 2 simultaneous shots and getting downed.
