"peek/cover"?
So, this engine may not be able to do this, many need too many changes BUT anyone else think a peek/cover/lean system would benifit the game? what Im thinking would be if your close to the edge of cover and look at it, right clicking would make your guy lean either left/right/over (while ADS) whatever you picked for cover.

What part of Payday won't be benefited or improved with peek/cover you did not understand?

most likely camping in one spot would be too easy. if the game had good ai and more realistic fighting at all, it would be nice, but in the actual state it would overpower the player even more.

true, if AI could flank then it would be nice and OR fun IMHO

In my opinion it would be bad, actually. Payday have the players running from objective to objective and moving loot, I rarely see good players camping on a spot for too much time and the heists that require camping are just a few.

well, im not sure if the length of time your 'camping' actually matters... its the fact that for the time your in cover, you could actually use it like you would irl. and running from objective to objective? true but how often do you have to WAIT at those objectives..... ie drills, broken drills, picking, hackinng, guarding ect

Game would need to be balanced for lean before that happens, as it is now, a peek behind cover and fire feature would just make things a bit too easy.

Heres the thing. Police hitting or missing you doesn't really take into account partial cover. Either you have full cover or no cover in concerns to a particular enemy. If a lean system was implemented just now with no other features it would be 0 cover ie no benifit from just standing up and shooting or full cover ie totally op. So to add the feature you would have to rework how the AI targets and shoots you as well as adding the cover system.
