Inkwell is not who you think he is. He is responsible for the Big Bang update, creating cubes, enhancement scrolls/star force item destruction upgrade system, creating a pay2win class like Dual Blade on release with payed cash-only skill books, as well Xenon to try to get people to buy more cubes.

I quit the game cause it stopped being able to start on my computer, since then I moved on to FF14.

I the game were to win me back...
.Get rid of pay to win / gamble for stat cube items in cash shop or revamp the cash shop entirely so its only cosmetic in nature. ( I would even pay a 5-7 to a month sub if this could be a reality... that number because the game is 2D pixel )
.make transparency on items, changing hair styles something i'm able to do for free or a bit of in game gold ).
.from my play experience the game was a drop in wander everywhere, a proper MSQ direction helper would be nice

You haven't played in a long time, and while that's to be expected, failing to take the time to educate yourself on what changes have gone on in the years time afterwards and making demands that have already been met or will soon be met in a few weeks is incorrigible.

  • As listed in the Inkwell announcement note, the Rewards Points shop will be stocking all transparent equips that will last 90 days and has no limit on the number of times they may be purchased. There are several in-game methods of obtaining said rewards points, including defeating daily/weekly bosses and by using a system in a new (by your experience) system called Monster Collection. You may also earn Rewards Points by linking your account to the f2p mobile game MapleStory M and doing daily tasks. And finally, you earn Rewards Points as a fraction of purchases you make with NX credit. The game frequently hands you free hairstyle change coupons, and the game has a storage system for hair and face styles (think FFXIV's Glamour Chest) that you can use to swap between for a fee of 10 thousand mesos.

  • Every single class in the game now, including explorers as of a few years ago, has a set of story lore quests that follow your progress up to level 200, at which point the stories all converge on the Arcane River storyline and later Grandis, with slight alterations based on what class you are playing. There is also the Grand Athenaeum available starting at level 100 that has a heaping helping of interactive stories that further flesh out the lore in the way that you crave.

The game hands out double-levelup events and level-growth potions like candy to new players to get them quickly to mid-endgame content. A lot has changed since 10 years ago and they are extending a hand to more than meet you halfway.
