Hotfix for Minor Bugs ⚔️

It’s not just the horde we’re hunting down in Early Access…

We’re also fighting those pesky bugs!

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to play Hordes of Hunger and provide us with feedback and bug reports! In this hotfix, we have focused on three main issues that had crept up:

Fixing the Nests spawning in unreachable areas, meaning that players were unable to complete the quest.
Fixed the Hammer Spelling Issues.
Fixed the repeating voice over which is triggered when Mirah uses the light attack on a shielded monster.
The player loses rewards after teleporting after the "Come Back Home" quest is fixed.
Fixed the cyst spawning during the "Kill the Guardian" quest.

Heard this line about 20 times in 30 seconds :( Please make it stop - this is virtually unplayable once you get to the 2nd stage.

Camera feels off.

The camera feels really off. The placement of the character is too far up the screen and off center. Panning the camera also just feels a bit weird.

Your swords are sharpened, the journey for vengeance has begun.

But what lies ahead?

Now that Hordes of Hunger has been released into your hands, we’re excited to reveal a sneak peek of what to expect throughout Early Access with this Roadmap!

Throughout Early Access, we will be releasing the following features:

Rage Arena Update - Get ready for endless brutality in the Rage Arena! In this mode, the horde will keep appearing until you become overrun with enemies. This update will also include a new map of the ‘City’.

Hell Mode - You thought you were safe from the relentless horde? Once you complete the main game, you’ll unlock Hell Mode - a whole new difficulty which turns up the heat, meaning the levels become much harder.

New Weapon - As you progress through the levels, you’ll be able to obtain weapon parts such as the Hammer to craft later on. We will be introducing the Scythe into these weapon parts, giving you another weapon to choose from.

New Skill Tree - We’ll be adding a new skill tree to broaden your options even further! Totems are pillars that will be dropped in three different points to create an area of damage - whether this be pain, fire, or thunder. The larger the area, the more monsters will be affected!

And that’s not all! Throughout the early access period you can expect camera upgrades, bug fixes and improvements, new enemy types, new story missions, achievements, Steam Deck verification, and more weapon art variants!

Early Access Review

You'll be done with the game in 4-5 hours, there's a total of two boss types, power discrepancy is huge (some are poop, some completely trivialise the game-play), you might finish the game before you've even unlocked more than one additional weapon, you might finish the game without even dying once, there's additional progress systems (increase base stats through currency, unlock even more powers etc. etc.) that you will never really use/need to use because you'll be done with the game before any sort of difficulty ramp kicks in (is there any? I can't recall)

Needs more content such as difficulty increase, more bosses, anything that adds replayability because there's nothing that keeps you playing after the first 5ish hours.

Early Access Review

If you have a great video card and monitor the game faults to a very high resolution and only shows the top left 40% of the screen. Change settings to a lower resolution and restart game to see full screen.

Do't use the auto camera angle option as it will just annoy the crap out of you if you use joystick.

Otherwise the game looks awesome and plays well.

This is one of those games where we should exercise our collective power and increase the budget, scope and active development time.

just some thoughts.

Have to say the core of this game whilst feeling a bit early feels really solid, the combat has a nice punch to it and its not fully their yet IMO as you parry but sometimes still get hit, the camera gets a bit funny sometimes but its manageable and the jump animation needs speeding up or being able to jump higher because jump attacks are not fun to use because they feel clunky compared with the rest. But as a foundation it feels really meaty and weighty to fight in this game. i like the map design with th...
