M314 Motion Tracker
I was just thinking about that old Motion Tracker from the previous AvP games (the pulsing one). I think it was much cooler and spookier to track any movement on it :/ Any chances there'll be a mod exchanging the current one to the pulsing one?

Also, what do you guys think about this, which Motion Tracker would you prefer to see in the sequel? :)

well what time-line was AVP since this is 15 years after the first finding of the Xenomorph.

they most likley designed the AvP tracker to find the alien.. as the one in the game was designed to track rodents although as ripley states when aquiring this device.. its been modified.

I believe, that is later than the game. In the game, they use a self tinkered motion tracker. The motion tracker, that you have in mind, was the military grade one, that is being used by the colonial marines later in the timeline.
But none the less you are right. That clicking military motion tracker was bad ass :D

There was the original tracking device from the movie "Alien". It had a blue screen, but it was quite big and unwieldy. So for the sequel I would be ok with the version of the motion tracker they used now.

That's the one I'm talking about - blue screen, big etc. The one which was making these "waves"
every half second. True that, I can't even look anymore at AvP but the motion tracker could be really nice :) (Just to be sure - I'm talking about the one used by Marines in "Aliens")

No, you're talking about this tracker:

holychair is talking about this tracker:

Those are different trackers altogether.

You dont want that one which only tracks micro changes in air density, it failed in the film so probably would fail here.
"I've designed this tracking device. You just set it to search for a moving object, like so. Hasn't got much of a range, but when you get within a certain distance, it will start to give off a signal." = DEATH

Well then, they could exchange the current one in the game for the one in Aliens on Nightmare difficulty setting xD That would be still kinda cool.
