Blind Alien?
This is from a playthrough of what i encountered in Alien: Isolation
When i was hiding under a bed from the xenomorph, he noticed me. The next thing i know, he just stands there, occassionally crouching down to look at me. He even roars when he "looks" at me, signifying he has found me and is ready to kill. Now i am confused about what the hell just happened. Any suggestions on what the Alien is doing?

Sometimes the Alien will crouch down and have a look but he still doesn't see you. Did he roar and bolt for a vent? Maybe the AI just glitched on ya.

No, he just stood there. MENACINGLY!!!!!!!!!!! But in all the seriousness, he just stood in front of the bed, crouched several times and roared at me for several minutes. Close enough to actually touch him, too.

That sounds freaky as hell!! And also kinda funny.... He was just playing Alien chicken with you. It is too lazy to reach for you unless you were surely there. So if you moved it would have snatched you lol!

sounds to me as he already had zeroed you, when you move more then he takes you, checkmate situation

Maybe a bug in the NavMap of this level. There are some places where it can see u but can't get there. And BTW the alien has a tunnelview. It sees straight ahead very good but to the right/left very bad.

The thing with Alien is it is sensing you and sniffing for your smell and yes it cant see you. so, everytime you see him you have a small window of opportunity to run away (you will here it hissing for a few seconds before it actually spots you) the best way to avoid alien is to follow him so that you know exactly where it is.

that's the thing. This whole process already started after he spotted me. He saw my location (and i was in a position where i could not escape) and just stood there in front of the bed

Well you have to make sure you always have a hiding spot around you if you want to follow him. Generaly I end up playing hide and seek around the sofas (the ones from the alien movie) and beds or anything you can find.

I had something similar happen in Parker's office in "Last Survivor". He was stuck direcly in front of me screeming over and over, but couldn't reach me. I threw a flare and took a few screen shots. Eventually, I got bored and stepped to the right....and immediately died. I wasn't able to reproduce the glitch.

Found this out today. If you couch, peek, and press down she will think your a dead body. You just can't let her see you move.

OT, but what is up with people calling the alien him or her?

Dont people know that xeno's are a sexual apart from the Queen?

TBH, this whole thing with the alien not killing you under beds/tables, sounds like a bug if you ask me.
Every single time it looked underneath what i was hiding under, it dragged me out and gave me big kiss.
That is throughout 3 playthroughs, and it happened 10/10 times.
