Does anyone play this game? Why are servers so dead?

It's nearly impossible to find a group to do anything. I'm at the point where I've done just about everything solo I can, and need a group to do end game stuff to progress. Nobody really chats, and overall activity just seems incredibly low.

So many servers are "full", but from what I can tell, it's mostly people just trying the game because it's free, abandoning it shortly after, and leaving a bunch of ghost bases while wasting slots so more people can't join.

They really need to do something to wipe out the people who don't play, and keep active players together because this game feels incredibly dead. I'm enjoying playing, but it sucks that there seems to be nobody else out there.

1) I think because people have several alts. And they need them to do a decent base. So even if a server says full divied it with 2-4 and you have the actuall nr of players. I think they should be made unlucked ingame with bigger base, and the problem goes away. 2) Its because of the seasons, they are short, thats means to make progress you need play everyday, so a casual player as me, drops out. I meet several friends ingame, just started cant keep up, so they drop out, second big drop out is when season changes.

It heavily depends per server and per world. There are definitely people playing, quite a lot even. I mean, Steam alone already counts 70+k players.

My house is located north of Hearst Industries and I even got a neighbor (who I never saw yet) but he's in a hive with several members. So... there's defo activity.

It's kinda ironic because when I started playing one of my main complaints was that other players always swooped in and killed all the baddies before I could do anything.

But as you also noticed.... the moment I was ready to try and take on the first Rift monster ... sure enough: the game told me to try and use 'U' to get a group together but nothing happened.

It really depends a lot on context... the world you're in, the thing you do... stuff like that.

Also depends on your region. Manibus servers in Europe are generally low on players.

For what's it worth.. I'm on PVE01-00234, we're in the final stages.

Maybe us Steamers should try to pick a server to focus on?

Given the environment the players are waaaaaaaaay over segregated. Low server pop pools in the first place, and exacerbating alts; the synergize is real but the game harming artificial traits ought to be dealt with as a priority

Depends on scenario.

Currently, latest scenario released is "Way of Winter" so a lot of people are on those.

In my server, every place I explore, I will run into 1 or 2 others.

I would imagine it will be less populated in Manibus servers.

Some people could be waiting out the 6 phases or waiting for their friend before they transfer together. Those people won't be logging in even if they take up a slot.

Because way of winter is trash. None of the heat mechanics work, you fall through various objects in the world. Now theres 'chaosweavers' that means its -100 in addition to all that so you cant even explore. Trash.
Oh but they do have lots of pretty dresses for you to buy.. oops i mean gamble with a loot crate for.

Way of Winter doesn't have Phase 6.

There are several factors to this.
1. Server are split into worlds. One server can be divided into 10 worlds.
2. Older servers are blocked to new players. After the phase 3 (manibus) most of players already did everything and are just waiting the server wipe.
3. The new scenario is not good as people wanted it to be.
Most of players from my friend list went to new scenario and quit before get level 20.

My server is bustling with life. Events are done asap, we farm Chaosweavers all day long. Idk why people complain about servers being dead, every server I have been in since release has been active af to the last day.

Servers aren't dead until the last phase when people start leaving.

Way of Winter 003 is very heavily populated. You cant go anywhere without tripping on someone.

I am on WoW-001. It's crazy lively. Especially since phase 2 began.

Great things is we got rid of most of our trolls before week 1 was done.

Well it looks like they've quit then, I'll pass that along, maybe they'll make new characters but I doubt it. Unlike me they have standards.

And you should have written "more of" makes better sense.

I wouldn't know about wow phases.. wasn't fool enough to get it.
