[Petition to devs for no server wipe - PvE servers]
Devs, please rethink if you really need to waste everyone's time and effort by mindlessly wiping the servers, the game's population WILL DECLINE because of this and it's unnecessary. You'll literally just hurt your own potential sales, as people will learn about the wipe and decide to not spend any money on your game because of it.

Server wipe every 6 weeks is too frequent, prolong it or give options to both people who want this wipe and those that don't want the wipe. Especially on PvE servers, such wipe will make a lot of players just quit and leave another negative review.

You can do a wipe on PvP servers or designate servers just for people who do wish for the wipe. It was already pain to have to lose all progress on one server, and have to start over on another just to play together with a friend, because servers get filled up on daily basis...This problem is already costing you in Negative reviews.

So please, do consider that not everyone has the time or will to regrind in the same areas over and over every 6 weeks and to lose things to a wipe. If you MUST wipe, at least carry over people's built homes once they start again, without requiring resources to build it and let them keep their pet deviations as well.
Thank you

I don't believe it. Unless you are one of those people who settle for so few things. Otherwise, those who want to reach very high general levels and have it all will not have the time. I hope that when they release the PVP map on hard difficulty, which I imagine will have more resource shortages, the time will be longer than 6 weeks or the game will begin to decline.
I have 120 hours on my playtime, which is around 8h/day since release. I cleared all POIs, completed all main and secondary quests, seasonal goals, rebuilt my base like 4 times because I enjoy building (I capped the structures i can place in my territory which is around 2k stone bricks, 20k gravel for context), fought all 3 prime wars multiple times, crafted 4 different max tier max calibration weapons and scrapped them to find which playstyle i like the most, did the same with 2 sets of armors, tried out crop farming, spent a lot of time playing with lower level friends to help them catch up and just hang out with them.
My server goes to phase 3 in 15 hours in which a resources multiplier will be introduced and higher level players will be able to play on hard-mode until pro-mode is unlocked in 1 more week. Most players will catch us up by that time comes as no POIs and main quests should be unlocked this week. And then there's 2 more weeks ahead of that, that's plenty of time man.
You probably spend a lot more time in PVE, and not PVE + PVP. I take more time to constantly fight in PVP battles hours and take other hours in time for PVE. So you diversify your time. I don't question what you do but I like to play both, I would get bored just playing PVE. I came to this game because of a survival game and I like to always feel in the danger zone. Of course I advance at the level of resources and PVE but I would be bored without PvP. It seems that you focus on Solo Pve and that is why you consider that it is enough time but for those of us who like to be in constant battle and take other hours to grow the character, we need more time.

And yet with all due respect, I think you have settled for very little. I don't agree but I respect it if you want those limits.

Yeah let me stop you right there. 8h per day is not possible for normal people that work, that's a no life zone...

I stated that I did not follow progression to help friends catch up and spent a lot of time building and rebuilding for a reason. You can halve it for my own progression.

*And still doesn't invalidate my point, there's still weeks where less content will be introduced as no areas are unlocked later on in the season.

I'm a new player, and not been through my first 'seasonal wipe' yet, but got to say, I have some dread about it.

But, it doesn't all look as dire as it sounds, except the part of running over the same maps doing the same thing over and over .. because it's a grind either way, right?

Still, there's some merit in what people say about a fresh start, with some kept items/gear of choice, which will lesson the pain a bit.

This post is about PVE servers, also I don't see how can I have settled for "very little" when I basically listed all you can do in a PVE server.

With no server wipes you would quit the game on week 7, don't make a fool of yourself. There's already a chance no wipe servers get introduced, but please quit trying to change something that defines the game.
This ^

Folks, people were already max level with the best gear upgraded 1 week into the game. All they're doing now is farming mods when the hard mode dungeons drop. For the rest of the season. The "building and survival" phase is OVER -- there's no content left beyond the endgame dungeons. The houses are already built and we're nowhere close to the end of the season. Resets are required just as they are on RUST to keep the game from becoming an overlooted borefest where your entire base is automated and plays itself.

6 weeks seems like a very short time to me for everything the game offers. Even if someone played 24/7

Yeah i was saying the same thing usually seasons in other games last 3-4 months
You can cap out in 1 week. Four months of being maxed out would drive players to quit long before the time is up. PVP servers would have it worse since it's four months of dominance for the top clans who get a foothold early. This is why RUST and Tarkov wipe regularly, to give players a chance to compete again.

Not this again. There are valid reasons for the wipes and that's all you need to know.
The devs are not going to change a fundamental part of the game just because some of you can't understand that.
Have a nice day.

If, at the end of the season, there is a violent and forced wipe in which key resources, rare and very rare items important to the enjoyment of farming are lost, then this game will die in August.
What rare or key resources? Acid? We have 20,000 in my clan, learn to use water pumps. Crystals? I can literally craft them and have hundreds of each that I looted. Are you even endgame yet??? Once you people reach the end of the progression, you will see how little ANY resource matters. Everything's farmable in huge amounts. Even Acid and Fuel drop in high amounts from Refineries. The only resource you can consider remotely rare is the legendary stardust and you will get tons of it soon from farming the hard mode dungeons for mods.

Have you NEVER quit your first Minecraft world? Starting over and refarming from scratch is a staple process of many games.

I agree that a wipe is done and you start at 0 like most survival games. However, taking into account 2 things:

1 - That the time for a wipe is a minimum of 2 - 3 months

2 - That items that you have paid for in the store with money from your pocket such as skins are kept in your account forever as they should be and as happens in any game.

the people arguing against it are disingenuous at best most of them havent played, barely played, definitely didnt read any annoucement or anything about the game, etc.

The OP mentioned the PVP servers and I give my opinion there. And sorry if I told you that you settled for just that, it's just my opinion, I didn't say it for anything bad.

Yep, imagine the noise if they wiped the paid for content as well .. lol

From what I've read, in the Seasonal Inheritance section, it does seem like enough things will transfer over, for example, I'll be choosing my weapons rather materials to keep, which doesn't make things as bad or absolute as it might seem at first.

I bought (RL moolah) some furnishing items for my house, will those be kept as well?

And all your weapons are made from blueprints, which can be upgraded to 5 stars by finding repeat blueprints, and you get to keep that.

I still dont think you should aim too highly after the people claiming that you can just use a currency to bring straight up endgame weapons to the new server, but they have been pretty vague on the rules.

as they said it all depends on the rules for item transfer to the server, so there are probably some where you can take some of the stuff over.

Yeh, keeping the Blueprints for things is what's making me think and feel this approach to the game design isn't going to be as bad as I first thought.

I will also keep the furnishings for my house I bought from the Store with RL money too, yes?

Tier 5 equipment requires level 40 to be equipped, bringing over your weapon doesn't really benefit your fresh start :P
