Questions about new servers coming online
I plan on starting my once human journey after I come back from vaca on Friday hopefully on a new-ish server (maybe one that is on day 2 or something).

I was in a twitch stream earlier and someone said that the newer servers will get the full 6 week season from when those servers came online (vs the ones from launch that end in a few weeks). Is this true?

Just trying to plan my time ahead... Wouldn't mind that, but would hope that my new server could unlock everything before the new season comes out in a few weeks because I'd want to hop on that and not miss yet another full season experience at its launch.

Basically:
Question #1 : If I join a newer server (say, Day 2) does it get the full six week season? Or will it end with the rest in a few weeks?

Question #2: Is it possible for the new server to complete all phases of the season before the new season comes out? Or is it heavily timegated where It'll overlap with the start of season 2? Basically, dont want to miss out on the start of season 2...

Thoughts?

Don't worry about full servers after 2nd season hits because people will figure out whats going on and the servers will soon be ghost towns unless they some how have butt loads of new content and map area to add but I don't think they do and grinding over old content just for new season skins is not going to cut it

Im not worried about full servers. worried about coming into season 2 late (again) and just be constantly behind because I started season 1. Basically, if I start Season 1 in a week...it'll be 6 weeks on that server until all phases are complete. My season 1 server will end heavily into season 2. I'll be late to the party yet again, on a new server for season 2 but just behind.

Starting to wonder if A) I can carry over whatever progress I made in Season 1 even if I didnt finish and go right into Season 2 or B) Just wait until season 2 to begin. And if I do that... I'll be doing the main story questline, while everyone else does...everything else? Those of us that started late are going to be playing almost different games lol.

hey, so, there are 6 weeks in a season, each week being a phase. the phases are hard time-gated so there is no way to unlock next phase until full week passes.
joining brand new server labelled Day 1 will mean full season run of 6 weeks on it.

Yes

No.

Each server has a SCENARIO that lasts X DAYS,

"season 2" is just a fancy way of saying they are releasing the new scenario, and maybe a new battlepass?

But once "season 2" starts we will see new servers with the new Scenario, Lets call it "Snowland", and the current scenario "Manibus" will also gain new servers.

In a theoretical world 3 years from now it means once you come back from a break you will see relatively new servers for "manibus" "snowland" "candyland" "atlantis" whatever scenarios they want to keep running, the entire point of scenarios is that they are a complete package of their own content.

Though nothing prevents you from making a new character on a new server when that comes out, so you can play on 2 different scenarios at once, they are working on sharing the MTX aspects that should come out early august, but the blueprints and stuff might be locked to the server until server end.

Understood. Thats what Im gathering too, thanks.

Next question is... Is it worth while to start on a new-ish server now, get whatever progress I can get before season 2 starts... and then "enroll" on a season 2 server and it'll take my question progress, BP, etc... and just "skip/ignore" whatever I didnt finish in season 1? This way I can start with everyone else in season 2? Im assuming I can do that without having fully completed season 1.

I just dont want to be in this perpetual state of being a few weeks behind each season because I got a late start. Dont mind skipping out on the vanilla/bland season 1 experience mid way if it means Ill be somewhat good to go for S2.

OR
Just wait for Season 2 and run through the Main story quest during season 2 while everyone else is doing season 2 content.

I think you can speedrun the main story now since it isn't that long to begin with. Probably will have to do some leveling in between but I don't think you'll be left behind when season 2 starts. So far this game is pretty easy so you'll catch up pretty quick.
