a kind of single player offline creative mode or world building version of the game would be cool for people who just want to craft and build and muck about without anyone else around them (1 million houses) would be an idea.
But after some quick research, it's just another F2P PC/mobile hybrid like Genshin that will certainly feature tons of microtransactions and all that jaz. So no, it's for all purposes just a mobile MMO.
These type of games will not last long unless they allow private servers, for there are far greater gaming communities that handle their own private servers for games like this, over trying to play on public servers with no support.
What I find odd is your hate for others to play their way. Why does it hurt you so much? I play every MMORPG solo and I been playing MMORPGs for decades. This option has been a new common request. THe main reason it is becoming a popular request are people like you (toxic gating discriminating trolls).
As for why I take issue with it? The whole idea seems extremely selfish to me. Its not like single player/multiplayer is a checkbox they just need to check, it pulls resources and time away from what I would view as much more legitimate and useful things. Things that will make or break the launch, like server availability and breadth of content. Also if you want to play solo... just play solo. Is it necessary to waste the time of an entire studio to make a special mode just for it?
This isn't a case of 'play their own way' at all, and framing it that way is deceptive. Player choice is covered under things like build choices, weapon choice, customization and cosmetics. This is more of 'alter the games fundamental DNA to suite me.'
It also does not help that I find the idea of a single player looter shooter/base builder boring as hell. Then add to that that a single player will just get flattened in LEA or Dankinis without completely rebalancing the entire end game.
TLDR: Its a waste of resources, for a small section of people; I wouldn't enjoy it myself either so obviously I would advocate against it.
EDIT: Also.... why u so mad bro? Your coming off as WAY more toxic than me.
Name a single decent MMO = Massively multiplayer online game, to have a single player option. I know...im toxic too.
Im pretty sure none of the one who's asking for single player mode actually played the game. I did and pretty sure the content release in CBT2 is just a small fraction of what will come . At first raid content stops. Pretty sure the ongoing content from this point will ask more and more team / parties / raids.
Single player its a no go imo. What point Hive will have. No hive , no way to upgrade territory , no way to get more electric power. And this is just a small issue.
But yea..lets play an MMO and ask for single player. Damn...im sooo toxic
I can tell you never followed dev's info. It's coming but not in 1.0
It is one of the top 3 requests from over 50K beta testers
