Loading Error
Suddenly yesterday when I booted up the game it will no longer finish loading my file. I will hit continue game from the main menu then it just sits there loading for an endless amount of time. How do I get my game unstuck from this situation? I've restarted the game and steam countless times as well as have tried reloading previous load files but it just continues to be stuck in the same loading screen.

People tend to forget how much damage they do to their drives when constantly downloading and deleting large files, such as games. Might not be such a notcible thing at first, but definitely reduces your HDD lifespan by half at the least. Just a general fact. By saying that; either try verifying integrity of game cache, or installing it to a different drive.

I hadn't downloaded anything new after stick of truth to be honest, and this computer is fairly new as well so I don't believe it's a drive problem, but I'll check anyway to see if something is up. How do I go about verifying the game cache?

Right-Click the Game in Library.
Click Properties.
Go to 'Local Files' Tab.
And you should see it listed.

I was saying that in a general sense, because sometimes when people have file issues; they like to uninstall the game and reinstall it; as if someone were trying to follow the directions of a shampoo bottle.

Scanned and verified perfectly apparently but it still will not load. Anything else?
Try installing it on another drive. preferablly an internal so it's running on SATA, or even SSD if you have one. But even external drive is fine. If that doesn't work, then it might be a deficiancy with memory or processing.

I found a much simpler way. I made a new game and when I got the chance I saved my new game, loaded my old one and boom it worked. I doubt saving the old one made a difference regardless. The main thing is that you can make a new save and then delete it later.
