sadly it did not help. I got the config right in the emulator but when i got o the game it only shows keyboard and i followed all the instructions in the link.
yea i did that but it didnt work, i'll try again later...
But i think it does because it shows the buttons are working. It just wont show when i get into the game. I may have to buy a knew controller. Do you know any good alts that can work.
Also, after changing that line, note that opening the launcher and saving the settings resets that line to Player InputWay="0" again.
If in the end you can't get it to work, the XBox 360 controller works fine, the Logitech F series work fine too (Logitech F310, F510 and F710). Any controller that mentions support for XInput should work fine.
Try JoytoKey. A little tedious but once it is setup then it works for any game.
I have an original black, wired controller and it works flawlessly with the game.
In Tomb Raider 2013, my replica controller (which I though was original) did not work with the right control stick, when I tried to look to the left side.
If you however are 100% certain that it is an original controller, then that is truly strange.
Under <Players>, you'll see <Player InputWay="0">, change that 0 to a 1
Then start the game with the sonic2app.exe, and see if your controller works.
