Using a Graphical Enhancement Suite to increase my fps?
That would be a first…
But I’m willing to try everything.
I have used SweetFX before with “FarCry 2” for that sweet “VIBRANCE” setting.
What settings am I looking for if I want more fps with SweetFX?
Could you point me in the right direction when?
ILately, I have been getting presets form the GSN Game Community Website. Specifically, GSN's SweetFX topic area. There's a huge selection of games that have SweetFX applied. This is all created by an entusiastic SweetFX fan named Omnipotus. He also created a STEAM group called "SweetFX Junkies."

You probebly know what "presets" are and stuff, but just in case you do not, this article covers it. ==> http://webportjunctionforum.forumotions.net/t91-game-control-sweetfx-shader-suite#120
WHAUUUWWW!!!
I did myself a big fat favor and installed the “SweetFX-Configurator” by CeeJay.dk
It’s Sweet FX made easy!
Freaking nice software!
Now the bad news: It didn’t impact my framerate in any way.
Negative or Positive…
Which is actually good news for all the users of this thing.
I love SweetFX. I use it on every game that will accept it. Here is the preset site I goto if you would like to see some nice settings with comparison screenshots. http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/
OP, I have not checked lately but http://enbdev.com/ has some optimization injectors I use on a few games. It might be worth your time to check it out since you are already stuck with the game. Who knows, maybe it will take you somewhere better in your search. They have pretty good forums there.
: ) That was numero uno!
And yes, DX9 performance is a lot better / more stable.
It’s my ancient video-card (HD4890) and the fact that you cannot disable the true framerate killers in this game that is bottlenecking me. My mates just installed it, and if they stick to the “medium” settings they get a solid 60fps (GTX 570 & GTX 560 – I Hate Them!)
The only stuff that really impacted my framerate beyond using the lowest settings in-game, were; using “3Doverrider” and turning down the Mipmap quality in my catalyst control center.
Also setting this thing on high performance via the taskmanger had an negative impact on my framerate?
The magnetic view seems to be a bit of workaround, because it’s very framerate friendly.
Wish I had just a little more control over the graphical settings. Thus far I have been able to make every game playable on my low spec system (except Saints Row 2 & 3).
Got my sights on a HD7870 for X-mas.
Don't have the game yet & not sure how this will run on my q9550 / gtx 285.
I too am looking towards a vid card upgrade prolly a r9 290 (x).
Just 1 question, do ppl have more problems with nvidia or ATI cards in this game ?
I'am not a fan boy of either, just like to get my $$ worth.
It's not brand related, it's just the lack of “real” GPU computing power.
If you don’t own a “uber” video-card, you are going to “feel” the heavy load!
You should take a look at this article.
They are running on almost the same system you have got.

Also this site is great for comparing GPU performances:

Compared to my HD4890, I would say we are both in trouble when playing this game…
Last week I would have agreed with you,
but during the “Black Friday” sales, I bought a whole lot of games that all run just fine.
I need to tinker with the graphical settings,
but they all give me a solid 60 fps while playing at 1920x1080.
This "Ghost Recon Future Soldier" is not worth an hardware update.
try disabling direct x stuff, ambient occulision and stuff.if ur graphics card is not powereful enough, try lowering it down.if u have mid level pc and try to run this game all maxed out, ur setting urself for dissapointment..
