Multiplayer (co-op) campaign?

I played this game on the wii-u and really enjoyed it. My favorite part was playing local co-op through the campaign mode with a friend, and earning stars on more challenging maps together.

Can you still play campain mode co-op online? And do both players advance in the campaign?

I understand multiplayer makes some of the harder challenges tough (bumping into eachother on drift challenges) but it was so fun.

I'm still looking for this info, I know that you can do that local, but so far, no option for online coop AFAIK

A little confused -

Can't seem to get co-op online world tour going. Does it not exist and there was just a misunderstanding?

You mean play the career mode online? That doesn't work , just use matchmaking.

You can play the Boost Race and Battle Races from the campaign in Custom Matchmaking modes online, you cannot play World Tour online with other people. That is impossible. Lijpert was incorrect. Sorry dude, looks like you just got told bad info from someone who didn't read.

So you can play 2 out of like, 5 World Tour modes online.

Can u play co-op splitscreen? Doesn't have to be online. I kno it's for pc but just wondering...my kids would love it if u could.

There is easly a Split-Screen Coop. You can go Split-Screen everywhere - World Tour, Single Race, Gradn Prix, Matchmaking. Only Time Trials are ommited.

You can also split-screen with up to 4 players for most modes, including world tour. Make sure you add all controllers in the settings before starting the game

You can also try grinding World Tour stars, or your character's rank level to unlock mods for different driving style while in split-screen, correct?
