Uhh, the flying part would be difficult if you used a wheel. :P

So you fly around using the wheel like a yoke, there are "buttons" near the wheel that can be used for up and down.

We tried it, it wasn't very good. So we don't officially support wheels. You can force it via Xpadder if you are really keen, but you'll only see what we mean when you do...!

That's a shame. There are plenty of buttons on a g27 wheel (6 on the wheel, 2 behind the wheel) and that's not counting the 3 pedals and the buttons on the shifter.

You can probably play COD with a Dance Mat. I would describe it as the optimal way to do so.

There is a difference between a dance mat which isn't made for fps and a wheel which is made for driving. But I understand that there aren't too many people that have wheel controllers and it's not worth the money to focus on making it work for that market share.

You still not considering the full needs of Transformed in terms of control. First, you need to consider how to set up a flying controls. Then, you need to find a way to set up the air-stunts that are nessesary is you want to say competitive.

This is game that is meant to be played on the controller. You can try the Racing Wheel, but because of the gameplay mechanics it isn't recomended.

I'm considering the full need. The only issue I see is how to do the up and down during flying, which can be handled by the button 5&6 on a G27 wheel (those are the two levers behind the wheel) There are 6 buttons on the wheel itself for the stunts. But it can't even be attempted because the game only have partial controller support. The developers know that is an issue and instead of fixing it, they suggest to use Xpadder or another software that may or may not convert the signals correctly.

Lazy port, driving game not supporting a wheel, including force feedback as an afterthought, try harder huh guys? Game looks good at least...

It's not just a driving game... :P

The port is better then most (stable, takes advantage of PC hardware, exclusive characters). And again, it's not purely a driving game. Flying parts throw a wrench into the works.

It looks nice, handles well, it's generally fine, but is it that hard to control pitch with a couple of buttons on a wheel? Why not include it and let gamers decide. It's nice to see arcade style games on the PC however.

Considering how much precision one might need to risk boost... yeah, a wheel isn't going to cut it. I can only forsee disastor.

It's hard enough when using a controller.

We spent a week trying to get it to work and play nicely, with the official 360 wheel and a Logitech PS3 wheel. We couldn't. In fact we had the SEGA producer come and try it with us as he was also adamant it could be done. He left the building agreeing with us.

It's not just flying up or down, it's also flying up and down whilst drifting and stunting and firing weapons.

The point is not laziness, it's just not the right way to play the game. So we don't officially support it.

You can get it to work via third party tools, it's potentially even possible to do it via our own launcher too.

But imagine trying to play a flute wearing boxing gloves - and you're in the right ball park for playing the game competitively when flying when using a wheel.

And this is coming from someone who played Daytona USA with a Fishing Controller :)
