Selling Items
I'm a bit confused with the selling of items. So I got a Terramart Shipments. I made a Kiwi Juice and it says on it Pixels x150 but when I put it into the Terramart Shipments it says Total Value Pixels x45.

sadly, in starbound, price of item is kinda like price, this item costs to buy. And selling is kinda like 30% of it (or something like that)

I forget the specifics, so I could be wrong, but I think the value listed on the tooltip/etc. for an item (across from the rarity such as common) is the base value. Some merchants might sell for a bit more than this amount, possibly based on how much they dislike you or your race. Selling items seems to be roughly 1/5th of the base value. I know the base value was the amount it cost to replicate such items using the ship's 3D printer, but that function seems to have been removed after early access.

Selling to a merchant gets 20% of the base price. Selling agricultural items (including processed food and cloth) to TerraMart gets 30% of the base price. Running ore through a refinery takes time but gets 50% of the base price.

I have so many weapons I've been selling them. I haven't been thrilled with the returns, but it is still good money. Wish I could give them to the crew or colonists....

Bottomline is selling stuff won't get you rich, and making your own stuff is a better deal.
